I just can't believe it - a studio at HH for Easter week - did one of those day-by-day 9:00 am phone calls. Anyone know how far a drive Pgh. is to HH?

Can't help with your drive time, took us 16 hours from St. Louis last year at Easter and we loved it!! You will have a great time!! We also stayed in a Studio and ordered the Easter Ham dinner that they have available at the resort. (You will probably receive something in the mail to order it as your date approaches).

Enjoy!

We drove from Columbus to HH in June. Took less than 12 hours. No kids though so our stops were for gas and bathroom breaks only.

Congrats on your HH stay!

It takes us about 13 1/2 hours from Akron with a 9 year old, so plenty of gas, food, and restroom breaks. We can't wait to go back!

Enjoy!

We are planning on HH for Easter in 2004. Is it hard to get a 2br that week?

How is the weather that week?

Thanks!!!

I just got done also doing the day by day ressies for April 13 - April 18. I had read on these boards just last week that it might be tough to get. I questioned the CM and they said there were 27 two bedrooms still available for the day I was currently booking. We were there that week last year (it's our school break then). I was concerned though getting it for this year because it is the week before Easter, last year it wasn't. We had such a great time this past April (it was our first DVC trip) that we were so hoping to return this upcoming one. The hard part now is the waiting. The driving time for us from lower CT was 15 hours. See you there!

Scootersmom, the secret is to leave early in the morning so the little guys sleep along the way. This past Easter it took us a little over 11 hours from Akron. Also the traffic is not bad during early morning hours along the never ending constrution project they call I-77.

Trelorf, We had a great time during this trip. The activities offered at HH were into full swing and they had just opened the Beach House rest. and snack bar. Weather was exceptionally nice this year and we considered this our best trip ever, except for the one with JulieJo & Family (in case they read this).

I sent you a PM, but in case you don't get it, I was wondering if you have any kids going. Ours are DD-7, DS-10. Also, what were some of the activities you did last year?

We have 3 kids - in April they will be DS -12, DS - 9, DD - 6. Last April we did the Dolphin Cruise, Marsh Walk and lots of time at the pool and beach. They also went miniature golfing off sight. The boys love to play tennis, so I think they may do a lot of that this time. They also did some of the craft projects there and really enjoyed those. We look forward to meeting you there. All the people we met there last year was so nice.
