So Ernesto should be long gone by this Sunday, right?

Im coming in to CBR Saturday night around 5pm and were going to the parks starting on Sunday. Im assuming Ernesto should have passed by then, but what is the weather like just after a hurricane? Is it generally very rainy, or overly humid, or dry, sunny? Obviously noone knows, but what is the average weather like just after a hurricane has passed through?

Right now Ernesto is a tropical storm.

Way, way to early to tell. We don't even know where it will come across the US yet.

It is expected to cross the Fl peninsula on Wednesday with the worst weather and it should be well away from us by Thursday. There's always a chance of one of these storms lingering longer, moving course, or doing something completely unpredictable but the current track has a lot more confidence than 1-2 days ago.

Once a hurricane passes and heads back into the ocean, the weather resumes to usual. Keep in mind usual here lately has been rain, at least in the afternoon, almost every day.

It'll probably just be typical Florida weather. Hot, humid and rain.

If Ernesto stalls once it's off Florida (if it goes out into the ocean), then you might get some lingering rains.

Unless, of course, another storm develops somewhere close.

I think you'll be fine with Ernesto long gone by Sunday - BUT, on the local news tonight they did mention two more "areas of interest" coming off the African coast that look "possible for development" into "something" so keep watching the weather! Looks like the season is revving up now!

Ernesto should be gone by Friday and the normal Florida weather will return. Meaning the chance of afternoon storms will be back and it will still be hot.

Yes. Ernesto is expected to be effecting us in PA by Friday & Saturday, so I'm sure you'll be OK.
