In Georgia we have to list our weight, however, when you renew your license they don't ask you to update that information.
My weight was correct at one time. My goal when I joined W.I.S.H.
was to reach my driver's license weight. As of this morning I was
one pound away. Not so sure I'm having a thin day today so this
last pound might take a while.
I renewed mine last month and had this conversation with hubby.
Mine says 165 and it has said that for 7 plus years covering me weighing anywhere from 220 to 150. I figure as long as its right for some period of time....I hope it will be right again before the year is up.
Its probably a little weird for me to want the weight on my license to my more than I actually weigh....but thats my goal.
Thanks for sharing everyone. I really thought I was the only one that wasn't totally honest about my weight on my license. I didn't know some states don't even ask for it. Perhaps I should consider moving to one of them!
I can't wait for the stay off the scale challenge to be over so I can see how close I am to the weight I put on my license. Does it count if it is the weight you wish you were?
I can't say that it counts if it's what you wish you were, but I'd absolutely say it counts if it's what you're working towards! (Especially with as hard as you've been working!) Keep up the great work!
Carrie - thanks so much for the encouragement! I really appreciate it. I am working hard and when I see that 199 on the scale, I'm going to shout it from the rooftop like it's saying I was 125! That is how happy I will be!
Lisa - Losing 65 pounds alone is worth shouting from the rooftops!! I'm sure you still feel like you've got a ways to go, but I hope you look at what you've already done and give yourself big pats on the back!! (Sorry, I've gone way off topic.)
Carrie - you are such a sweetie! Sometimes I do get discouraged that I have so far to go and it's nice to be reminded to look how far I have come. I think we both jacked this thread! Anyway, thanks again for the support!!!!!
When the lady at DMV asked my weight for my last renewal, at first I answered "115 - why do you ask?" (I am WELLLLL over that amount). She rolled her eyes at me and I changed it to 200, even though I'm well over that mark, too. I refused to go any higher than that in print. Happily, the weight isn't listed on the license itself.
My license has a big fat lie on it!!! I often wonder if someone found me unconscious and pulled out my license...would they say "there is no way this person weighs this amount" It makes me chuckle to picture this!!!
I'm on my way to hit that weight though. It's my goal!! I have quite a way to go, but as I keep reminding myself that Rome was not built in a day!
