O.K...so there may be a happy ending after all....The lawyer that I contacted through the U.S. Embassy here in Mexico, that works in our city, emailed me back and said for me to ask
DVC if he can notarize the documents and then apply an Apostille Seal...so I called DVC and YES, that is acceptable. The Apostille Seal is issued by the governing country and is basically a stamp that authorizes that lawyer as being legit and acceptable. So hopefully we can get in next week to have the documents notarized and sealed and get them sent off to DVC. Yay!! I can start making my grass skirt and coconut bra now, lol!!
