Just saying bye, wont be on here for a while i doubt as i have lost all my magic for disney to the fact that i dont ever want to return

They have been really unhelpful with regards to the fire in our room and i dont want to give them any more of our hard earned money.

Sorry for the rant very angry and upset at the moment and its no good complaining anout anything to them as it just gets ignored and passed from section to section

My advice would be to step back and take a breath. Think about your children. I can't stand "wishes" and all that boxxxxxs, but my kids love it.

Really sorry to hear that. I read your posts about all the trouble you had. I too would advise taking a step back and thinking about the wonderful holidays that you could give your little girls - especially if you bought into DVC.
I do understand your frustration, but could you maybe put things on hold for a month or two, and then look at it again? Also if you are anthing like me you may have the post holiday blues?, and everything looks rubbish then!

Good luck with whatever you decide :goodvibes

Claire :)

My girls can have just as good holidays somewhere else

Im not giving disney all my money which is what we do to have things ignored etc

Im very annoyed with the way we have been treated

You know Sarah, we can all sit here and tell you what to do and what not to do, but you are going to make the decisions you need to make for your family. So all we can offer you is our support, whatever you decide and if you change your mind at a later stage (which would be really lovely), that's okay too

But please don't just disappear from here completely. If trip planning threads are a bit in your face at the moment, there are plenty other forums here, but after so many years of sharing trips and experiences and all the help you have given many folk on these boards, it would be a shame to see you disappear. :goodvibes :flower3:

Oh dear.

I know how you must feel but I get the impression disney has had a big impact in your life and it would be a shame to let one incident spoil that!

I would cool off and see how you feel in a few months. In a year or so you may even miss it and forget the negative ;)

Just like to wish you all the best whatever you decide. Like you when we first went to OKW we hated being there, although for different reasons to what you have experienced, also when things go wrong it appears that some not all dont care or want to help, dont let it put you off being at disney. I know you had just bought at BLT this will enable you to sample the delights of DVC and hopefully put the magic back into disney for you and your family.

I don't love disney (although I'm sure my kids do) but I do love Florida. Disney is only a small part of our holidays; I love to drive down to the Keys, going to Sanibel and Captiva Island and the beaches on Siesta Key are second to none. I love Busch Gardens and staying at the Hard Rock for FOTL. You are right that you don't need to buy into DVC to give your girls wonderful holidays and don't give Disney all of your money - maybe just a bit of it when it suits you.....

I can understand where you are coming from and think it is wise to stop a major financial commitment like DVC if you are unsure.

Best Wishes

Sorry to hear that Disney have treated you badly - unfortunately it is sometimes needing to know the right person to speak to :confused3

We had issues at BLT with our check in (nothing like your issue) but we were getting fobbed off. Fortunately for us we are good friends with a CM and he told us who to ask for - problem dealt with a lot better from then on.

Complained to DVC member satisfaction when we got home too and had an excellent response from them.

Hopefully you will be back soon :goodvibes

So sorry to hear this but as 2Tiggies says, please don't disappear from here :grouphug:

A thought may be to call DVC and tell them your reasons for cancellation. They may be able to assist when the reason why you are walking away from a big financial commitment could be solved very easily.

This seems like very good advice. Sorry to hear of your unhappiness with the way you have been treated.

sorry to hear about this, i suppose the silver lining is that no one was hurt and things can be replaced, but still doesn't bring back your ruined holiday.
what have they done/not doing?

I missed what happened with the fire as I was away - just had to search the forums.

I am really sorry to hear about the damage and the obvious impact it had on your holiday.

Often the judge of a company is how well they deal with complaints etc.. I do hope you get a decent response from Disney in due course and I can fully understand why you need to take a break from here until the dust settles.

Sending the best you and your family and I hope you get a satisfactory response from Disney soon xx

It is very frustrating when you cant get any where with firms,:sad2: I have to say Disney two years ago were very helpful when my daughter's foot was injured by an Electric scooter in the land, they gave everyone in the party 5 day hopper passes for the next year, also this year when my son took ill ust before the start of the MNSSHP they refunded his and GF tickets, saying that we never stay on site.

I hope that in a few months you will have everything sorted out and be able to think about returning, you must have had such a shock when you discovered there had been a fire.

Hope disney restore you faith in their magic

I hope you have cancelled your DVC contract. It's an expensive commitment and one your need to feel totally happy with. You could always buy in at a later date should you ever change your mind.

Like a previous poster I don't buy into the 'Disney Magic' stuff but think they usually do customer service very well indeed so I'm sorry you are having difficulties getting things resolved to your satisfaction.

DVC has been wonderful for us but I definitely agree that you can have great holidays in lots of places without spending all the time and money travelling to the USA.

I hope your insurance claim works out for you. Good luck.

We will all be sorry to see you go if you do disappear Sarah - but will also understand your reasons for doing so if that is the case.

I second tyhe advice about maybe laying it on thick with DVC about your reasons for cancelling and seeing where that gets you. They invest a lot of time and money to get people to buy into this so every single signature counts. It could be a huge bargaining chip for you.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

P.S. Can I still have Dizzy back please :goodvibes
