So I was originally planning an escape wedding for SBP for this april , but then my son fell off of his bike and broke his arm , and 8 days later my other son his twin fell down the steps at school when he tripped over his untied shoe lace , breaking his arm.....my ex husband is to be providing health insurance but is between jobs. Therefore it's an out of pocket expense for me , anyway then my mom had to have a 3 part operation done (3 operations on the same day) to save her , and she is still not back to herself just yet but we almost lost her! Then my oldest son enlisted in the marines and was supposed to go to.boot camp december 1st then they changed it to february 1st then march 7th and now april 4th.So we decided to postpone the wedding until july , in hopes that my marine son will be home , that my mom is back to herself and can travel...so with the hospital bills taking up almost all of our wedding savings , I talked myself into a memories wedding. And now my motor blew in my car AND someone hit my mini van and took off (thankfully had a witness and got the license plate number and now awaiting a court date) but I only have state minimum insurance which covers no damages.....the last year has been a complete nightmare for me and now I can't even have a memories wedding....yes even as cheap as it is , our funds are just not there with needing not 1 but 2 vehicles fixed and still swamped with hospital bills from broken arms , xrays , orthopedic specialists office visits.......I'm so sad and depressed over this. It always seems that I can't ever have anything that I truly deeply want (like my dream Disney wedding) sorry my post was so long but I have Noone else to rant to......thanks for listening

I'm sorry things are so tough for you right now! Can you get married at the courthouse and then save up for a wedding-like Disney vow renewal later? I know many brides who have done this and just treated the vow renewal as their wedding. It's the same to Disney either way. Then you would have time to save up for the event of your dreams but still have the joy of being married to each other. :goodvibes

Oh so sorry to hear about your misfortunes....it really does seem that "when it rains it pours" is true! I know that life throws us unexpected curveballs & is very difficult sometimes - I feel your pain. I 2nd the idea of having a wonderful, dream come true vow renewal ceremony when you are able. Just think of how much you will have to look forward to! Sometimes blessings come in disguises...& you're not alone, you can always vent your frustrations to us! Hugs. xxoo

Thank you so much for the kind words.....as hard as it will be to "let it go" (LOL) i think you and lurkyloo are both right , I must explain to my heart that it will have to wait a Lil longer

Ahhhhh!!! It's happening!! My fiance said I should have the wedding that I want , so he wants me to book the Disney memories wedding! OMG I still can't believe it! I am over the moon with happiness! Now I just have to figure a way for park tickets and dining at cinderellas royal table as this has been a dream of mine (having dinner at cinderellas castle on my wedding night , then watching the fireworks with my HUSBAND!) any suggestions on how to make this more magical? I'm already in contact with the wedding constant

Holy cow girl! When it rains it pours! Glad to see you are learning how to dance in that monsoon!

Happy to hear that it's on! We will be down for our Vow Renewal/ Wedding we never had the week of 4/8-4/15. We were initially looking at Memories but opted for the Escape package and are having it at the Yacht Club Gazebo.
If you can, get LurkyLoo's EBook. It will definitely help you, even if you only have a month to plan. Plus the Wedding Podcast she does is great! She has Memories weddings on there as well. Here's the links if you don't have them:

Yay to April Brides!!

Enjoy & have fun planning!!

Well once again my dream disney wedding is off....I'm not sure my heart can take all of this but. After speaking with the Memories Consultant and getting all of our info , we decided that we'd rather wait and do a vow renewal to have either SBP or better yet wedding Pavilion. I. Got some bad news from my doc and now my health isn't so good.i was diagnosed with hashimotos thyroiditis and I truly need to focus on me right now , besides I was told if it rained or there was inclement weather my wedding would take place in the hotel lobby or the tiki lounge???? I have my heart set on an outdoor wedding, so I felt really let down as if because I'm not having the more expensive wedding than my wedding doesn't mean anything , so now I'll just either give up on disney all together or maybe a vow renewal but I doubt it , I was really hurt.....anyway thank you all for listening and giving advice ,

I had my heart set on SeaBreeze Point and unfortunately got rained out so I was married in a random conference room. It doesn't mean that your wedding isn't important to them it just means they can't take the risk during rain storms of lightning happening. I am truly sorry to hear about your recent health set back though, I think concentrating on that for now is a good idea.

I advise going with the Wedding Pavilion. Of all the days we were in Florida (nearly 2 weeks) it rained the day before and the day of the wedding. That's it.

The Disney photographers were amazing though and they were constantly checking outside as it literally was passing downpours (with gaps) so we go our magical wedding in our magical location and they pulled us outside after the ceremony for the external pictures as weather permitted. There were proper downpours between the sunshine but we had the most amazing day still. The photographers were so on the ball so we could get the shots we wanted between the showers and by having and internal location from the start our wedding was never threatened with moving.

Look after yourself first but if you feel you'll be crushed if your location shifts due to weather. Choose the Wedding Pavilion.

I am so sorry to hear. I am having a memories wedding happening in April of this year which I have had to put off for 6 years now. My mum passed away in 2010 the year we wanted to get married on our Disney trip, I was so upset I couldn't even come to Disney that year. My grandma passed 10 months after my mum and than grandpa 1 year later. As my dad was in poor health we didn't travel as I promised mum I would take care of him. Last March Dad passed away. After Dad passed I thought alright we are doing this... I know it sucks waiting, I have waited and waited and now I am finally getting married in Disney in 36 days. Your in my thoughts and prayers hang in there, it will happen for you....
