So disappointed...none of my choices are available!!??

I know its late notice, but I thought I might be able to get at least one of our choices!!

We are going in October and Crystal Palace isnt available for breakfast, lunch or dinner (except 9:45, much too late for my 2 year old) on Sat or Sun.

To make matters worst, there are no Character Dining venues available for those days either....except for the one at MGM, but we arent visiting that park.

We did book Flying Fish for Sarturday night though....but I soo wanted my daugther to dine with the characters. LOL

Any suggestions on when the best time to call is, hoping for cancellations?

There's an October cancellation thread here on the disboards. You might see one get cancelled and be able to grab it. Other than that, keep trying. It's free dining, and most people have had their trips and their dining reservations booked for months.

Since you're going in October, you'll definitely want to subscribe to This thread

Check out the first post of the thread, since Disney has changed their rules about trading reservations, the DIS has also modified our rules. The first post of the thread has everything that you'll need to know though.

Keep on trying for those reservations you want, people cancel all the time. I'd even try at other times of the day, because it's not just people from the DIS that cancel all the time.

Keep trying. When we were there last August (during free dining) I was able to snag a reservation for lunch at the Crystal Palace for the next day. I think people have to schedule their ADRs so far in advance that they sometimes schedule extras then cancel the ones they don't want.

I didnt realize it was free dining?? NO WONDER! LOL They didnt mention that when I called.

Can I still book the free dining option, or has that long passed? We just booked this weekend.
