So DCL or RCCL?

Hello! I am planning a big college graduation trip in 2019 that has 11 nights at Disney, 4 nights at Universal followed by a 7 night cruise. I have done Royal Caribbean but was thinking about doing Disney Cruise for the first time. However the cost is making me second think it. I'm willing to spend a good bit on the cruise and was planning on doing 2 concierge verandah rooms (one for myself and one for my parents). But, after watching the Dreams Unlimited video on the new Royal Caribbean concierge I looked up the 2 bedroom aquatheater suite and am leaning a little more towards this. Is there a big difference in the two cruise lines or their concierges? Any help would be great!

One thing I'll mention is that there are very few 2bdrm Aquatheatre rooms. Book early. Also, imagine yourself on the ship in that room. If you would go to all the shows, that might be great (but I think you'd be standing to watch the shows). But if you are selective, you might find the shows intrusive. I'm just saying this because that was my thought process on those rooms.

That sounds like a fantastic vacation. Sorry I can't help on concierge. I know there are some peeps on here that have done both hopefully they'll come out of the woodwork to help you. You might try positing in the Royal section too. I know a lot of people rave about NCL's Haven. I think they sail out of Miami though.

Yeah I'm going to put this into the RC forum to see if someone can help there too! Thanks

It's all about what you want and can afford, and that's different for everyone. A few things that distinguish DCL are:
  • Disney characters & entertainment
  • The old-fashioned ocean-liner design of their ships
  • No casinos
  • Fewer things being actively sold to you on the ship
  • Castaway Cay
  • Very steep prices
Other lines have their advantages and disadvantages, you just have to decide what you want and can afford. There are lots of good options out there for a fun cruise.
