I was wondering how so many of you get so many points on the rewards websites. I know there is the daily but what else are you doing to get these points. Right now I belong to sr and qr and I just can not figure out how you all do it.

The freebies and shopping really add up...and then may of do paid sign ups, when you do those you really can see your earnings mount up!!

if you do the daily surveys on SR, that's .80 a day...plus the monthly bonus that Tricia is running this month..that's a painless $25 for the month! :thumbsup2

that is if you can get any surveys.. I think I get one or two from each place a month... drives me nuts but I just never qualify.. it still adds up before you know it with clicks and polls, and so on.. I just cashed out for $180 worth of cash and gift cards, and that was only about half my programs, but it took me about six months to get there.

I also don't qualify for many surveys; I only get to do a few a month usually with QR and SR. I do clicks, e-mails, trivia, free sign-ups, etc. Also, any online purchases DH or I need to make I always do through a reward program -- if not through QR or SR then through My Points as a last resort for me since QR always credits very fast and I prefer to shop through them.

I don't rake in the big bucks that some people are. But I don't have any referrals on the programs that I do.

I don't do any trial memberships that require a CC and a cancellation within X days unless I'm truly interested in the service (eg Blockbuster Online). I'm so afraid of getting charged for something I don't want, need or can afford. Yet, I still somehow got dinged with the Columbia House DVD sign up that a lot of people got burned with a month or so ago.

I don't qualify for most surveys and it cheeses me off to spend 5 minutes or more doing a survey only to have a "Sorry, you don't qualify" screen pop up. At least MyPoints gives you 10 points for attempting to qualify. Some rewards sites give you nothing for the effort.

I even find that many (probably close to 75%) of the offers that I do on SR do not credit. It's not Tricia's fault. It probably has more to do with my firewall and antispyware protections. I refuse to drop them for the sake of a few cents in rewards.

So, I stick mostly to what I can earn thru online shopping and the daily clicks on most sites. If there's a really good email offer from MyPoints, I usually take advantage of it (really loved the 1000 points for the beauty.com purchase!).

I admire those that can work the programs so that they get such high rewards. But, I won't be completely paying for my next vacation using GPT programs. Still, it's nice to have the few extra bucks to help out.

I have made quite a bit doing GPTs. I do take advantage of some of the trial offers to bump my totals up. There are lots of offers that can add a few dollars to your account without being the traditional "try our product for x days." For instance, several of the sites have nice rewards ($4 or $5 for ordering prints from online reputable photo services (York, Sony, Snapfish, Shutterfly, etc.) I also found the book clubs to be a really good money maker for me. I actually order the books to sell on Amazon. I end up making quite a good profit by doing this. I do some online shopping (mostly shoebuy) that help add to the total as well. I know that QR has nice signup bonuses for shoebuy and bagsbuy right now. SR has a 2% payback for gc's purchased through Givefun.com. I ordered one of those to buy a Disney gc. It was $$$ I was going to spend anway so getting 2% is a nice extra bonus :)

There are always the free surveys, paid emails, clicks, games, etc. to help add to your total. With the surveys (daily or others) I have found that running spyware, clearing cookies AND history, and using the different emails (gmail dot trick) etc. have really boosted my ability to get those kind of credits to actually post.

I can be hard work but I find the end result (2 paid trips for us to WDW this year) to really be worth it :thumbsup2

I forgot to add something about referrals. Out of the $2,000 I have earned at GPT's over the past 2 years, only $4.20 has come from referrals. I have no idea how some people get so many referrals :confused3 Then again I don't participate in many boards (DIS and SR forums are pretty much my only 2) I did buy 4 referrals at CD but those only resulted in $.20 in referral earnings (the other $4 was for referrals at SR)

I wish I could get some tips on getting more referrals ;)

I am with you about trying to find referrals. I wish I could find someone who was going to make a few hundred dollars...I think of Maddi who got me from here, she has probably made $65-70 off of me alone...me I have 12 referrals, almost all of which I used feathers to get and I have made a whopping $10. I find most boards don't let you put up the referral stuff. Anyone have good places to check out?? I think that someone previously mentioned that Yahoo lets you.
