SO Confused!!!

Ok, if the answer is already on this board, let me go ahead an appologize, but I honestly couldn't find it!

I have never been to Disney World, and the first time I go I want to do it big, so I am opting for the Platinum plan. (Can't wait for that!) This comes with a dining plan, but I have no idea how you use the things. I know you get credits that are exchanged for meals, but what do you pay out of pocket with the plans? Are the plans just a discount and you still pay for the meal out of pocket when you're at a restaurant or are they like Atlantis dining plans where you have a large cash sum that you wear down by purchasing food? Thank you so much. I am so confused!

from what I understand every person in your party gets 3 meals a day, 2 snacks and refillable mugs per person per day. Your meals and everything will be on your resort room key (KTTW) key to the world card.

How many days are you going?

From what I've read its a great plan with all the activities that you can do.

Most likely a week. So if the meals go on the KTTW, then we won't have to pay anything out of pocket at the restaurant?

Just the gratuities . when are you planning on going?
Disney is one of my favorites. Just think of it as a prepaid dining that is what it is.

I think they have a brochure on the disney website that will tell you about everything. One day we will probably do the platinum plan. My daughter will be 8 in October from what I understand some of the tours she cannot go on. So it doesn't seem worth it to me yet.
