Because:

1. of location! More resturant choices. WL has 1 fancy, 1 loud crazy family, and a very small food court/window. BUT BC has several choices and has the BW, swan & dolphin's all within walking distance.

2. of transportantion. yes wl has the boat to mk, but a bus everywhere else. AND it does occassionally change who they ride with. When we stayed there we were NOT with the other resorts we where with fort wilderness, and there are many campsites and roads back there, it was a long long bus ride many nites. I would not use there transportantion if it was with FW again. Definately find out who they are on the bus route when you are going! Now if you use a rental car? maybe. BC you can take a boat to 2 parks. or walk to 2 parks. Bus to 2 parks, and they where supposed to recently have split up some of the epcot resorts to decrease the amount of people and stops?

3. of Room. Personally I really like the std. room at the bc. view is not bad. I feel the room at the bc is larger than & brighter. Just appeals to us more.

4. of recreation. SAB! Major waterpark attraction. several nice hot tubs / spas. Share a nice marina with Yc. Yes the pool at wl is not bad but since the villas have been built, it is very crowded. The wl has 1 quiet pool by the villas But BC has a quiet pool as does YC, & BCV.

5. of personality. The BC is a very family, friendly, fun place. Its not boistrous like wl but charming sweet. Everyone is happy, and helpful. We have never had a bad day at the BC. Its like being at grandma's summer house. And going out the backdoor to the beach and lake. You just feel very comfortable there.

Sorry to WL lovers - my DS is protesting the idea of WL - I guess because of the previous post of a 'lame boring pool slide'- He's 14 and has totally out grown anything 'childish'. He saw the POR dragon tongue slide and said it was made for babies.

Oops. Sorry - that was me.
Based on the time of year, I am sticking with BC. If nothing else, think of how much value a refillable mug will have for a 2 week stay! :goodvibes
Sending some :wizard: that you get a fantastic AP rate next summer!

GEETEY - no problem on your wording. You should hear my DS's opinions of pool slides. I think it would make WDW cringe :earseek:

He likes to enjoy the pool (our pool at home has no water slide - so it is a plus at WDW). If my DS is willing to do the Pooh ride with my DD (he even did Dumbo with her 4 years ago) and be a good sport, I would like to please him with the pool of his choice.

I spoke to DH last night. It's BC for 2 weeks (14 nights). No moving around.
We will try out the WL resturants. Whispering Canyon sounds like fun.

I'll start to prepay after December of this year for our summer 2006 vacation. At least get 1/2 the money in - and try for the AP rate.
I think I am half the Spring AP rate - June 24 and 1/2 the summer AP rate July 5. I am not sure how WDW works it when you stay between 2 seasons.

Thanks for everyones help !

Hi I voted for BC but would encourage you to split your stay between the two because they are both great resorts. First off, you would save money by splitting your time and second you get to enjoy two different resorts in two different areas.

If you have to pick between the two then I would go with Beach Club mainly because of SAB - there is no better pool on property. WL has a wonderful atmosphere and pool but the pool can be crowded and is considered small. BC is also wonderful as it is between Epcot and MGM with easy access to both. Should you split your stay, then I would leave MK to the days that you would stay at WL due to convenience of traveling there. Either way that you go you'll have a wonderful vacation.
