So. Cal resident tickets

Quick question: My cousin is going to Disneyland next week, her friend that she is visiting and going with lives in San Diego. How do you get So. Cal resident tickets? Can my cousin and her daughter get them since they are going with a So. Cal resident? They are going for 2 days. Or is it just easier to get their own tickets? Or last question, is it cheaper for them to get the military tickets? Trying to help them save some money so they have more money to spend in the parks

The conventional thought process is that if a non-So Cal person visits DLR with a SoCal person then they can get SoCal tix thru the SoCal contact. These can be purchased at the gate or beforehand.
