Hi
Wondering if anyone knows:
The So Cal City Pass includes a 3 day park hopper to DL, does anyone know if we can upgrade to a 4 day at the park?
Any idea on what the additional cost would be?
This seems to be the way to go.
We plan on visiting San Diego for a few days and Sea World and the San Diego Zoo are on our agenda.
Even without even going to Univ Hollywood, this pass makes sense when you add up the cost of each ticket.
We just need 4 days, not 3 in DL!!!
We're also doing the City Pass, staying in SD for a couple of nights, and then 3 nights at Disney. We're not going to do Universal which kills our discount a little bit. We're going at the end of July and my wife keeps asking me when are we going to receive our documents. Does anyone know when they mail them out?
We just did this in May and I tried to upgrade my 3 day at City Hall and I would recommend that you don't do that. They tried to tell me they were not upgradeable!! 45 minutes later and all 15 members of my family waiting and me crying they told me no and it would cost me $$$ and I said No thanks I will go online and get tickets somewhere else. Well I went out to the main gates and within in 5 minutes I had my 10 tickets upgraded from 3 days to 6 days for $300. They basically take the $184 for a 3 day park hopper and subtract that price from whatever it is you want. So if I 4 day is $$$ then they would take the $184 price from that. When you get your tickets a price is placed on them and that's the value they give your ticket. HTH.
Oh anytime you're upgrading try to do it at the ticket booths. City Hall really doesn't have the same ability to do that as the ticket booths. Unless you're upgrading a hopper to an AP, then you can do that at the AP center.
Just back from our trip. Upgraded CityPass to 6 day park hopper at City Hall. No problem. Received $184 credit per Adult (I forget the child credit but the upgrade cost was the same). Cost $50 per person, adult or child. Great service at City Hall.

According to the Disneyland website 3 day hoppers are $184 and 4 day hoppers are $199 or $154 and $169 for kids 3-12. So to upgrade to a 4 day hopper would be $15 more a ticket for both adults and kids. You can definitely upgrade for just one more day.
We upgraded our SCCP 3 day park hopper to 4 day park hopper tickets in Oct. 2009 and $15.00 per ticket sounds about the price I paid.
Definitely do it at the ticket booths outside the park. I made the mistake of going to City Hall first and was told the same thing as a previous poster that our tickets were not upgradable because they were already "discounted". I went out to the ticket booths and was able to do it there - it took a while for the CM to find the right buttons to press on his computer, but he was able to do it.
