So Cal AP ?

I had read somewhere on these boards that anyone could get this pass, even us that live out of state. I just put 2 rooms on hold at DLH with an AP rate of $99.00/ nite/room, and the reservationist told me that you must live in So Cal to get that pass. Is she wrong? (I know alot of the time when booking for WDW the people at CRO are misinformed). I was planning on getting my whole family AP's, but if I can't buy So Cal AP's, I may have to rethink my strategy! TIA!!!

The rules for the So. Cal. pass do state that you must live in So. Cal. to recieve that rate. I was asked for ID when I bought my pass, and all of my friends were as well. However, I too have heard stories of people being able to purchase So. Cal APs and not being asked for proff of residency. So my advice would be don't count on being abe to get one, but go ahead and try, you might get lucky.
