Just got my contract from Disney. We were supposed to have our pre-reception at sea breeze point, someone dropped the ball, booked it for another event, and thus we lost it Does anyone have another suggestion for a pre-reception location close to the Boardwalk? I think we may have to do St. James & patio. I am so annoyed because we made a special trip to Disney to decide between sea breeze point and st james for the pre-reception location and this is what happens!

Nothing is set in stone with Disney until the contract is signed so you may have been penciled in for Sea Breeze Point but not actually "booked". If someone else wants the same site on the same day and the same time they do a lottery system to determine who gets it and I think wedding ceremonies and corporate events are given precidence even then.

How many guests are you having? It might be possible you can use the Attic at the Boardwalk in if you don't have a huge crowd.

Another option, which is pretty neat is the gazebo over the Stormalong Bay at Yacht/Beach Club resort...or I'm forgetting the name but there is the Asbury patio (i think that is what is called) which is really nice. OR, my favorite preference ...the upstairs of the Atlantic Dance Hall

I would suggest the quiet pool on the boardwalk inn side. Where is your reception taking place? In the boardwalk ballrooms? If it is, I personally would suggest keeping your pre-reception on the Boardwalk grounds. While the Yacht and Beach clubs are close, it would be a bit of a hike for your guests to get from the cocktail area to the reception. Just something else to think about. Let us know what you decide!

Thank you all so much for the suggestions! I'm going to look into each of them. My reception is at the boardwalk so it would probably be best to stay in that vacinity. Thank you again!!

I love the idea of the quiet pool...or the garden over at the far end of the Boardwalk--I'm not sure what that is called, but it is beautiful...
