I just finished and now I just have to wait for the packages to start arriving! For the first year ever I bought everything pre-Thanksgiving. My usual thing was to go BF shopping at 4-5 am , buy everyone's gifts, grab coffee and wrap all day. Now with the 12am opening it just won't work for me. Anyone else start doing mostly online shopping this year? I found it much less expensive than buying things in stores and I felt less tempted to buy extra stuff. (window shopping at the mall always gets me in to buy stuff around the Holidays!)

Not only have we finished shopping, there are pressents wrapped and under the fully decorated Christmas tree. lol.. My DH calls me an "over achiever".;)

I'm just about all done. I have only a few things left to buy. Of course DH and I agreed not to exchange gifts this year and just put the money towards our extra trip we just decided about 2 weeks ago to plan (the recent noreaster that hit New England coming so early made us realize we won't survive winter without getting away part way through). I only have a few things to buy for my grandson and a couple movies for my kids. Oh, I also have to buy some Disney trading pins. If I'm going to buy them anyway for our February trip, I figure they'll make a great gift.

What's worrying me is that I'll see deals next Friday (I only shop online; I refuse to go to stores this time of year) and I'll be tempted to buy things I know we'll want. I always end up with a bunch of great deals on movies and video games on BF. It's hard to say no to deals that won't be found other times of the year. My Amazon Prime membership is good through 12/09 so if I find a $3 movie then I can just buy that and not worry about shiping costs. I guess we'll see how strong my resolve to not spend is. No, just staying off the computer is not an option. LOL

I think I'm pretty much done except for a few gift cards. I went to TRU thursday afternoon, what a mad house. They didn't have in the store what I wanted so they're going to ship it to me free. I was glad to get out of there. I'm thinking about getting my DH a pasta/sausage maker from amazon so that's another online purchase. I love shopping online. I think 75% of my gifts were bought online. I like that the stuff comes in boxes I just tape them back up and can leave them out in the open in the basement and the kids don't even realize it's their presents hiding in plain site.

I am pretty much done! I hate shopping and have yet to be out on a Black Friday. I put toys for my youngest DD on layaway. I bought a Android tablet at Walmart for $89.00 as the family gift. My oldest DD gets gift cards because she absolutly hates anything I get her but I did buy her a new comforter for her bed. I am also trying to sell our Wii so I can get a XBOX with Kinnect for X Mas.

I have a handful of things to order or pick up. Still no idea what to get my dad though. Once I know that, I can get the last bit and be done. I'm sort of waiting until Amazon starts their big sales to get the last few things though.

I'm almost finished, 3 big gifts left for the kids, candy for the stockings (already have the rest of the stocking stuff), snacks for Dh's stocking and teacher gift cards. I'm usually done by now and use Black Friday to buy things we need, like jeans for the kids, and toys for Toys for Tots so I'm feeling a little behind.

I am almost finished

Today I bought my brother a ninja food and drink prep

My GD AND GS are finished My DD is done she already has her gift was luggage Buying a gift card for my son.

MIL wants a wii just to play the wii sports game that use to come with it I really don't want to spent the $150 on a game when she will only use it for bowling.

not done yet but close to it. I need to go thru my closet and write down everything I have to make sure I have what I need.

Just bought my mom a D&B purse she really wanted on QVC today so I am done with her. My sister and I are going in on a grill for Dad (she already bought it) so I just need a few little things for him.

I need to buy some stuff from Amazon and I have most of it in my cart but I am waiting for Black Friday to see what they have and also I will be get $50 in giftcards for amazon in the begining of Dec (from swagbucks) so I probably wont finish till then but I feel really good about how far along I am :).

I'm not done but I feel pretty good about my lists. I have a wish list on Amazon w/lots of stuff for the kids. I am also finding stocking stuffers at Amazon to buy. I am also ordering gifts for my DB's kids from Amazon because I have a prime account & it's so much easier than packing & shipping. Their stuff is on my wish list for now too. I'm waiting until after BF to check on prices and see what my mom & DB might purchase. Then I plan to put the order through.

I agree about staying out of stores! I am very bad about seeing all these little things I know they would love.

DS's school has a B&N concert in their store in Dec. & I usually buy their books & some GCs that day so his school gets credit. So far it looks like Target is getting my in store business because of their debit card discount & sales on things my kids want. The kids need PJs and JCP sent me another $15 off/$15 purchase so will probably go there for those.

I need to pick up a few gcs for teachers and figure out what to get the ILs. GCs will come from Bakers (Kroger) to get the 4x gas points. We've cut our list pretty much down to immediate family.

I love that Amazon ships in the big brown boxes, very easy to store in the garage & keep hidden! :thumbsup2 I am really hoping by shopping in this way that I can free up my time to enjoy more of the holiday this year!

Not done, but in good shape. I have a couple things in my cart on Amazon that I'm hoping will drop. I also need to get some gift cards for teachers and co-workers.

Tree is up, but my husband refuses to put any gifts under the tree until Christmas morning.

Christmas cards are done :)

I think I got really good deals and am pretty happy!

I am done with everything I need to buy!! Presents are all wrapped and ready to go! Tree was put up today and the house all decorated! :)

I am thinking of a few extra gifts as family gifts, but none are critical. If I get them, great. If not, that's fine too!

Haven't bought a THING!! :guilty: I haven't had a moment to shop, my job is crazy since they fired half my staff..:headache:

We've been threatened over and over that the company was going to close. This past Friday they told us it was not. :confused3 I can't make big decisions until I'm absolutely sure.. so I've put a plug on buying.

We should know shortly. Regardless, I will be buying my son one big thing since he really deserves it. Other than that I have very few people to buy for so I'll survive.

I'm done with the kids, except for stocking stuffers. I still need to shop for niece/nephews/DH/In-Laws and my own parents. None of those gifts will be too hard or time consuming, though.

Nothing is wrapped (still waiting on most of it to arrive, LOL). We won't even pull out the Christmas decor until next weekend. We just put away the Halloween stuff today!

:rotfl:
