So, AP's are out of luck for certain FPs...

They almost certainly won't. I checked MDE for May 17, the furthest date out I can book with my AP. No Anna & Elsa. Or the 16th or the 15th. So, no luck. Am I supposed to wake up midnight to try to book or chain myself to the computer and check every day, Disney? Very magical.

As mentioned in another thread, this problem is going to all but disappear in the next week or so when they move to MK.

These dates are for after the move to MK. Fast pass + is not available for the current meet and greet at Epcot.

What I mean is that the SB line will no longer be a nightmare, so the FP will be much less necessary.

Right. So which of the on-site guests is going to give up their FP+ for A&E--I mean, since the SB line's going to be less of a nightmare. Anyway, that doesn't solve the problem in any way. There are still no FP+ available at 30 days out. And given the popularity of A&E, I doubt that's going to change, even with increased capacity.

We are AP holders and we didn't receive our Passholder MB yet. Only reason we do have MBs right now is because we stayed on property back in January before they were available to AP members. We too travel WDW quite abit. We stay at Wyndam Cypress Palms through Armed Forces Vacation Club. We will get a one or two bedroom with a full kitchen ( we eat lunch dinner at parks) for $400 (7 nights). With gas and food a 2 day trip averages about $1000 dollars a 7 night averages about $2000. Granted we don't spend a ton at gift shops, however they don't go without. We spent about $3400 for our AP and I wished too we got to book our FP +even maybe a 45 days out.

I only know that AP holders get their bands before park entry is because we got ours. If we are the only ones, well maybe they made a mistake, but we do have them. We have no reservations and haven't stayed on site in years. Our passes were activated last year in early July. Two weeks ago I linked them on MDE, designed the bands and chose ship... We got them a week later. Hasn't anyone else gotten theirs? Were we an exception? An accident? Lol.
Maybe if Robo is lurking around he can let us know.

If this is your worst problem on your trip to WDW, you will have a great time. Mountain out of a mole hill.

Every active AP holder got MBs. It's the voucher AP holders that won't get them until they visit a park.

As an AP holder I hate it. I LIVE 5 minutes from the Magic Kingdom. I see the fireworks nightly from my front porch dead-on. There is no reason at all for me to ever stay on-site. So basically I get 30 days instead of 60 because I live too close?

I go to the parks and spend WAY more money in a year than most on-site guests. Just this morning my wife and I had lunch and went shopping at Old Key West Resort. I'm going to Star Wars Rebel Rendezvous, the all-nighter, we go to DTD all of the time to buy stuff, we are doing a Mother's Day dinner in the parks, etc etc etc. I go to the parks once or twice per week at least.

I think it flat out sucks that AP holders only have 30 days while on-site has 60.

How am I supposed to get on Mine Train? See Anna & Elsa? Without waiting hours.

Ethan

I get your gripe and am sympathetic, but here's something to consider.

I think for every one of you, there are probably two of me. I live ten minutes away and am in the parks many many times each year. And I spend next to nothing at Disney. I consider their food to be barely mediocre, well overpriced and not worth my dollars. Likewise, nothing in any of the shops attracts my interest at all.

So they get my AP money and little else. I end up paying around $4.00 per visit.

Thank you for confirming that delmar. I said that's how I thought it worked, in previous post... but others seemed to have gotten different information.

I haven't read all the posts in this thread, so this may have already been suggested. If so, hope Disney will take note.

I think AP holders who are staying off site should be able to make FP+ reservations 45 days out. They should have at least a few days' advantage over off site guests without APs.

Just tried at Midnight for a spot on May 19 that PP mentioned was open a few days ago. Only tried two people to make it easier. No luck. I'll check at midnight everyday if I have to, but it is still not looking very good for us.
