ANybody hear anything about how the May tests of the EMH morning and evenign hour went? Wondering if things will stay the way they've been or if they are likely to change.....

Anyone?

Thanks!

I haven't heard much about the extended hours for on site guests. What little I did hear from a CM was many guests were not aware of the extended hours for on site guests. (Wristbands required)
The information was included in their check in papers. But many guests didn't read their papers and were finding out different when they were in the parks, expecting EMH instead.
I was guilty of not reading all check in material. Busy, busy, busy. When all else fails -- read instructions. ;)
I am fuzzy on hours now that I live nearby, so don't get bogged down with the details. ;)

We were there during that time. Yes the info was on the check-in papers. It was also mentioned by many bus drivers during the day. It was also on the Park info channel on the TV in the rooms. I don't understand how so many people could have missed it.

We were also left a daily reminder sheet from mousekeeping at POFQ.

At ASMo we also received a phone message every night that detailed the EMH for the next day. There were about 20,000 people at the evening EMH at MK when we went, so I would hate to see how crowded it would be if there were people that didn't show up simply because they didn't know about it.

As for how it went, commando & intensive planner-type park goers (myself included) definitely prefer a combination of early EMH and E-Ride nights because it allows for more time in the park when it is not very crowded. Everyone else preferred the evening EMH because they just saw it as free extra park time.

DW and I enjoyed the late hours -we NEVER try and do anything early morning. I hope this becomes a permanate addition. We enjoyed taking an afternoon dip in the pool and even a little power nap before hitting the EMH park for the nite. We did notice they were very busy, but maybe the newness of the perk & the limited length of time it was running prompted everyone to get out & try it......it did for me.

I never saw word one on my check in papers at AsMo.
Yes I did hear about it from Boat drivers, a bus driver and did get messages on phone about it.

We were there a couple weeks ago and got to enjoy the EMH evening at Animal Kingdom. It was actually really nice! They had a couple extra showings of FoLK and Tarzan and all the main attractions were open except for Dinosaur (but it was closed all day for some reason). I would love to see this become permanent for onsite guests and wish I could have taken advantage of Epcot or MK EMH!

Of course I knew about the extra hours via the DIS boards!

But I was at Movies at the same time as Josh (sorry we didn't meet--you and your wife seem so nice from what I've read on the boards).

The extra hours were communicated to us
Post card before our trip, sent to our home.
Information at checkin with specific info about the hours at Epcot that night.
A sheet left on the bed by mousekeeping.
Phone call voice messages to our line the day prior to the evening events.
Did not ride the buses so can't say anything about that.

I felt that the resort had excellent communication on this. We did the two nights at MK and one night at Epcot. Had a blast!!!! We aren't morning people so never do the early entry, so this was wonderful for us. Didn't get to do AK due to a PS for supper, but this was really the only thing we could not adjust around the hours.

BTW, when I saw people lined up getting wristbands, if I had not known what it was about, I would definately asked "what's that for?" But that is my personality.

oh yes i'm sorry i forgot. I also got a postcard and knew about it from dis. i can't really say i saw lines to get wrist bands but we always got ours as we were entering that park at about the handing out time.
