So annoyed with myself!!!! $$$

Our state has this ridiculous excise tax we pay on our vehicles, so anyway, I got our bills, and put them in the "to pay" pile, and yes promptly forgot about them, they were due friday, and I realized today I forgot to drop them off to our town tax collector, meant to do it last week, so I am taking it this afternoon, but the reason I am so annoyed is that if you don't get it to them by the due date they charge you a "demand fee" which used to be $5 but now its $30 per tax bill!!!!!!
so for a stupid $86 tax bill they will be sending me a bill for an additional $60. ( $30 for each car ).

I know its my fault and I am paying for it......literally!
This is why it literally pays to be organized. I need a better system for keeping things straight,
for my regular bills I don't have this problem since I do online bill pay with my bank. I get email reminders.
other bills I tend to put aside, when I should just do it immediately when it comes in.

Im very sorry.. I have done something similar which is why I want one of those mail sorters with the dates that way you could put the mail in the date when they are due and take them out when you pay them.
