So annoyed right now!

So my DS just comes in with his Thomas the tank engine Cranky the crane that he got for Christmas yesterday and it is broken!
My DH also informs me that my niece unsealed some of the toys that my DS got for his birthday last week  and pulled all the stuff out and had it all over the floor.
So annoyed with my niece because she was such a brat yesterday, she got so much for Christmas but was really ungrateful, am I wrong to say that a 5 year old should know better??
My mum told me off because she didn't want me to use the griller on her stove, apparently she's not going to use it at all ever because she wants to keep it nice :headache: mum it's a griller, just clean it.
I want Christmas next year in my own new home with no company, is that wrong??

No, I don't think it's wrong to want Christmas in your own home. BUT, be careful what you wish for...
We moved into our new home 6 months ago, and I couldn't wait to experience our first Christmas in it. Well... we did not get to have Thanksgiving in it, or Christmas. DD16 has been in Children's Hospital for over 7 weeks now. We've been right here in this hospital room the entire time. :sad1:

I'd give anything just to have had a Christmas anywhere but here.

I pray your DD gets healthy quickly and that you all get to celebrate Christmas together next year, in your home, healthy, happy and safe.:flower3:

I'm sorry to hear that. Prayers for your daughter

OP- I think you need to regroup because you are obviously overtired and stressed. Kids do kid things and when they are overstimulated-like on Christmas morning-they can be a bit bratty. As a grownup, we know to expect these things and thus we are not discouraged or disappointed.

Daisyduck123, I am sending you good, warm thoughts both for your daughter and for you. I am the parent of a teen and your post struck home.

Peace to both of you.

 To you and your family. I pray that your daughter is better soon.

This goes to all of us. It doesn't matter who you are, it's so true that no matter how bad things seem to be, there is ALWAYS someone out there that has it worse than you do. Just be thankful every single day for what you have been blessed with, cherish and love your family, and don't sweat the small stuff. :grouphug:

I hope your DD is getting better, sending good thoughts your way.

Sorry, now I feel as bratty as my niece acted yesterday :(

You shouldn't. You're entitled to vent. Hope things are better soon! Good luck with the house.

daisyduck123, I hope your daughter is much better soon!

Oh please don't feel that way. As I said before, "It's not wrong to want Christmas in your own home". And that's exactly what I'll be trying for again next year.

Please don't feel badly.

Daisyduck~ How upsetting to have a sick child. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope 2011 brings your family answered prayers and joy.

Don't feel bratty! You have every right to vent - I probably would have done exactly the same.

daisyduck, I'm sorry that your child is so ill.
