Snuggies? I can't believe I'm asking this question!

Slankets are better quality IMO. My son has a snuggie and it's crap. I swear you can see right through it.

My DS9 wanted one really badly and so I got him a football one (Eagles). He uses it all the time. They are quite warm ... I got one in my gift exchange at my office party. I'm always cold, and it really keeps me warm. And I can use the TV clicker and drink a drink. :rotfl2:

They're at HSN - there's only 6 teams left and they're on sale!!

It would be free if you just put your bathrobe on backwards. Isn't that all a Snuggie is?:lmao:

Get an old blanket and cut a hole in middle for your head and there you have a poncho. Keep yourself warm and still have your hands free. That will be $15.00 please.

I got my dh a Cincinnati Bengals one for Christmas. He said it's actually very warm for how thin it is. He did say he would never be caught dead wearing it in front of anyone but our immediate family.

We have tickets to the Bengals playoff game this weekend, and it's going to be really cold. I plan on taking the snuggie to the game (for me, not my dh)

I hate to say it, but I have a Snuggie-brand Snuggie. I won it or I probably wouldn't have considered it otherwise. My teenagers LOVE the freaking thing. Probably because (think about this) they can wear their favorite short sleeve shirts, play video games, and still keep their arms warm. LOL! The Snuggie brand ones are pretty thin. If you can find a thicker one, go for it (and let me know).

My DD16 got a Snuggie for Christmas and I laughed about it. But she just loves the thing! Our house is cold in the winter time. Right now it's about 25 outside and the indoor temp is only 51. DD wears her Snuggie day and night, with a fake fur hat. Picture that look.:rotfl:

I think that the fabric used for the slanket is better than the fabric they use for the snuggie. But it does cost more.

I used to think the Snuggie was a silly idea too. Then I asked for one for Christmas and I love it! It's pretty warm even though it's not the thickest material. I'd definitely recommend it.

What about the snuggie for the dog????
I have a bichon and he loves to be cozy but I don't think I would get him one just doesn't look comfortable for a dog?!

They make micro-throw ones now, much more cozy and warm.

Costco was selling a Snuggle brand plush fleece one. Very different fabric than the normal one, and lovely and warm. I have one; DS has the normal fabric kid-sized one (that I bought at TRU in November). I scoffed at first, but it's very cozy! And VERY different than just putting a robe on backwards.

My mom got a Snuggie and a Cozy Wrap (bought at BJs wholesale club). We compared them, and the Cozy Wrap was much bigger and more thick and plush. DD has a Justice version of the Snuggie, and hers is pretty nice- it is about the same size as a Snuggie, but a bit more plush- and it comes in really cute patterns (DD's is hot pink with little Justice monkey faces all over it).

My daughter got the Justice version of the snuggie for Christmas and she loves it! My sister in law has the snuggie and she says it's the best thing ever.:confused3:rotfl:

DS and I have Slankets. We got them from Ross for only $9 each before Christmas. They are super soft.

DH has a Slanket from QVC. It is HUGE. Not made of the same material that my Slanket is made from. His is a thick fleece. Mine is a soft fuzzy material.

The Snuggie Dog (I love this photo, LOL)

Do they have a fastener or something in the back to keep it closed?

I have the red one in my Costco.com cart right now, am just debating whether or not to grab a brown one for DH. He'd laugh, but I have a feeling it'd be used. We meant to grab them when they were in the store, went one one trip and they had tons, a few days later, nothing. DD has a princess one from TRU I got her for Christmas. She opened it and was all excited telling everyone she'd gotten a blanket with sleeves. :rotfl:

I am telling you- the Slanket kills the Snuggie!:thumbsup2

No- the Snuggie (or any other brand) is not meant to wear when walking around the house. It is more for laying on the sofa. It's a blanket with sleeves so you can read, use the remote, play video games, etc, without the blanket slipping off your shoulders. No need for fasteners.
