This morning I told my husband that we only had 98 days until our trip... his response... "that means there is only 8 days until you can make all my tee times"..... at least he is learning..

What a Disney man!!!! I don't think Mike even realizes there are Disney-Deadlines!!:rotfl:

Good morning Snowbirds. :goodvibes

Cool tattoo Wendy!

Double Digits for me today -- 99 DAYS!! :cool1:

The kids are having a "summer party" tonight with their friends. So I am just getting things ready for that today. Looks like we will have about 10-12 boys here tonight.:rotfl:

Thinking of you today Kim.

Shelly- Hooray for double digits! :cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::dance3: Have fun with all those boys at your house tonight!

Wendy - If I ever got a tattoo (highly unlikely), it would be small like yours. Like you said, it can be easily covered up.

Kim-Prayers are being sent your way for your FIL today.

Thanks Meghan! :goodvibes How's the new job going?

I have a potential client that I'm still in talks with right now. I've also priced out a few cruises for one of my old dance team coaches. She has a lot going on in her personal life right now, so she doesn't always get back to me quickly. I am enjoying it though! I've learned so much about Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland and Adventures by Disney...destinations I knew nothing about! I also just set up a Facebook page strictly for my business....an old high school friend contacted me there and said they're going to WDW in November and she hasn't bought tickets yet. I got back to her and told her I could help her with whatever she needs, but she hasn't gotten back to me yet!

Thanks for all the prayers. My FIL is still in surgery right now. They started at 7:30 this morning and he isn't expected to be out for another couple hours yet. He should be in intensive care for a couple weeks afterwards so he definitely has a battle to fight after today.

Wendy- love the Mickey tattoo! Cute shoes too BTW. I lvoe that your DH knows a little about the Disney planning. My DH just knows what days I tell him to put it for vacation at work and that's it. He has no clue about the 90 days out ADR's or anything else. That might be to my advantage. ;)

Shelly- you're a brave woman having that many boys over tonight- good luck! :scared1:

Oops Meghan- didn't mean to forget you- that's what happens when I don't use that handy dandy quote feature and just try to wing it. :goodvibes

Glad you're getting a Disney education and hopefully clients start coming your way soon!

Hey Kim~ Y'all have been in our prayers today!
Shelly~ yay for 99 days and hope you survive the night....LOL...A few weeks ago, ds14 had a swim party-bout 10 kids...be glad you are having boys!! Those girls..:sad2: One stayed in the bathroom about 85% of the time-brushing her hair!!!! I could NOT believe it!! I mean..it's a SWIM party!!!!!
Meghan~ I am fascinated by the Adventures by Disney..I really need to check more into that. I think it would be neat to either do the London, or Germany one--gotta see those castles!!!!

Adventures by Disney is so awesome! I wish we had the money to do one....maybe someday! Plus, they just added an itinerary for Egypt!!! I actually thought of you as I looked through the itineraries the other day. There is one to London/Paris that made me immediately think of you. There is the regular itinerary and then the Gateway Collection (a bit less expensive). I'm more than happy to talk about them with you! :goodvibes

Girl...I need to call you next week!!!! That sounds awesome!!!LOL...I am such a travel fanatic....I would live out of my suitcase if I could!!!

I'll be home pretty much everyday next week! I have a toll free number now (it's on my new FB page)! The itineraries are so awesome and I would have a hard time choosing one.

Happy lazy Saturday morning Snowbirds!

Jason's dad is doing well. He's in ICU. They ended up taking out most of his pancreas, ALL of his stomach and part of his esophagus. We weren't expecting them to be so aggressive but are hopeful it gives him a better chance. They think they got most of the cancer. No guarantees of course. He didn't want anyone to see him after the surgery- he was worried for everyone to see him that way. We may go today or tomorrow if he's up to it though.

Jason got really upset b/c the surgeon said some of the cancer was in the beginning stages which he was told by the doctor that it was too late. His mom asked why the original doctor wrote him off and told him to go home to die. The surgeons response was b/c Medicare doesn't pay and to them he wasn't worth the little money they would get from doing a surgery. We are so thankful he got this second opinion at the other hospital and met this surgeon. It boils my blood that doctors make choices based on money. They looked at him as some old man- not a wonderful father, grandfather, husband, brother, etc. Just makes me sick to my stomach.

Oh my it's that time of year already! :scared1: I sure wish we were surprising the kids with a trip to Disney again- that sure was fun to plan. *sigh*

Kim- that is horrible. I don't understand how some people can actually not care about others. We're all still keeping your family in our prayers. Keep us updated!

That's such a statement I would make!! Let's see, just got back from an amazing trip, going to Colorado for Christmas (first time for Christmas with my dad's side of the family) and now my parents are talking of doing Disney World in Feb/March. I'm pretty sure my boss will kill me if I keep asking for time off!

Kim~ that is so awful..but from what I have been hearing..that's the way the health system is starting to turn...they will be reviewing cases based on age and other factors...not seeing the patients as people who are loved and will be missed if they die without the needed surgeries...it's just totally crazy. I can't stand to even think about it!
Shelly~ you just keep on travelin' girl!!!!

Y'all come over and join in!!!

I am there!!!!

Hello Snowbirds! :cool1::cool1::banana::banana:
I've been out of the loop for a bit, as my sister and her family were here for a visit. :grouphug: It was great to see them! She has two girls, ages 14 and 7, and a son age 12. Of course the cousins all had a great time together.

Rick, thank you for letting us know how you are doing. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Kim, we are also praying for your FIL. A belated Happy Anniversary!

Wendy, I love your little Mickey! ::MickeyMo

While my sister was here, she mentioned that her husband had had a business trip to Florida in May, and she had looked into a Disney trip for all of them. They haven't been in quite a while (the 7-year-old has never been), although they have been to Disneyland a few times over the past few years. Anyway, they ended up not going because the scheduling didn't work out. She said she was pricing TWO rooms at the Polynesian :scared1: and it was pretty expensive! Um, yeah! (they typically take pretty elaborate vacations and stay at nice places) Anyway, I suggested she look into a two-bedroom villa at one of the DVC resorts--that way they would have separate bedrooms and two bathrooms, but also a living room and kitchen (although she said they'd probably get the dining plan), and less expensively than two rooms at the Poly. I didn't even bring up renting points...she's not as budget-conscious as I am. I don't have any experience with the DVC resorts though--any input? I know Shelly will warn about the far-away rooms at OKW. ;)

DH and DS10 left this morning for Cub Scout camp. They'll be home Friday night. I don't think DS12 will admit it, but I think he will miss his brother. :upsidedow I will miss them both!

This past weekend was DS12's Aladdin show! :genie: We all thought he did great! It worked out nicely that my sister's family got to see the show also. DH and I saw it three times (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), and we all went on Friday. Now I've got all the Aladdin songs stuck in my head. :dance3: Unfortunately, I don't think the experience will give DS a head start in landing a role as a WDW CM as Aladdin....unless, for the sake of diversity, they decide to hire a pale-skinned, freckled Aladdin!

Pluto~ I know you will miss them...my 2 missed our middle son while he was at church camp..but neither would admit it...especially the14yo!! DD is always playing with ds11...they are buddies, so it was hard for her--more so toward the end of the week...That Friday she was super moody and kept crying for no reason...but I know why!!!!! LOL..
Hope they have an awesome time at Cub Camp...glad you visit and the Aladdin production went well!!! WOW! 2 Rooms at the Poly!!! I guess she wouldn't be interested in the All Star Family Suites? I know they are kinda plain compared to the Poly!!!
