Hi guys!! Hope you all had a great weekend! We were busy with Sarah's softball tournament - two games Friday night (won both!!) and two games Saturday afternoon. Won the first to get to the championship game and lost it in the last inning. So we took 2nd place (6 teams). At first Sarah was bummed, but seeing as she's never played a tourney before, this was cool. She got a medal and wore it to the grad party we went to afterwards, so I think she recovered.
Today we had my parents and brother over for a cookout - grilled chicken, corn on the cob, watermelon - great summer foods!! We hung out in the hot tub for a bit, even though it was fairly warm out.

Shawna - your yard and flowers are so beautiful!! I love potato vine, but you're right, it will go everywhere! It's so interesting to see the different types of plants you have! We are obviously in a much different zone and don't have a lot that lasts past September, except maybe some mums.

I'll get by, with the stupid leg pain. My DH and I have been taking longer and longer walks and I can do it. It's not like it was before, so I'm ready to go.

Beautiful landscaping Shawna! Maybe you can come here and help me!! I am so unmotivated to do any yard work this summer for some reason. Probably because we worked so hard on it last year when we bought the house and now I have just lost interest!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the Dad's out there! I hope everyone has had a great weekend. My cousin got married yesterday and the reception was a blast! Unfortunately, we had noisy neighbors at our hotel last night which kept me up from 2-4am. I finally called the front desk and someone came up and talked to them. Needless to say, I'm exhausted today!

I hate when that happens. I'll never understand why people are so rude and make noise at all hours of the night in hotels!

Congrats to Sarah! DS8's soccer team took first place in our soccer tournament last Sunday!! He was so excited. Still is. He carries his little trophy around all day staring at it!

Old Navy gives me about 4-8 hours per week which isn't much. I only plan on staying at ON until Christmastime (maybe). I still teach ballet one night a week (not for the summer) and I won't be dancing on my dance team anymore. I'll be helping out here and there.

Beautiful yard, Shawna!! We've been doing a complete overhaul on our yard this summer, too. Unfortunately, ours is NOWHERE near as pretty as yours LOL We took out 32 trees from the back and completely reworked the front. DH just yesterday finished up the fence in the back and we'll be getting a new deck in September. Can't wait til it looks put together.

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I don't think my hubby had a great Father's Day which makes me feel awful. We gave him his gifts last month (because we were too excited to wait) and he spent Friday-Sunday building a fence in the sweltering heat. On top of that, his allergies have been really bad because he's been outside so much. Poor thing.

We did manage dinner here with my parents on Saturday and dinner out with DH's parents on Sunday.

Good Morning everyone! I'm up early and have a full day ahead of me. My work schedule for today and tomorrow pretty much stink so if I want to get anything done, it has to be this morning. Chiropractor, bank, last minute errands, work 12-8, last minute laundry, then hopefully sleeping. Then work tomorrow 8-5 home to finish packing (which will take me all night because I'm already bouncing off the darn walls with excitment). Oh and I'm functioning today with a hang over . My friends wanted to take me out for dinner and drinks last night before my trip and since I wasn't driving.....well we see where this is going. Then I got home and my mom and I sat outside with grandma for a while and we drank an entire bottle of wine, just me and mom. Advil and water will be my friends today....

Mindy~ oh, sorry dh has allergy issues!!!! We know how that is down here...and heat just aggravates it!!! I know you will be glad to get that yard work done...that is really hard and then waiting for grass to regrow!!

HAPPY SUMMER!!!Well...today is the official first day...even though we have already been scorching here for some time now!!! I think they should back that up to May for sure!!! Oh...did I tell you I saw those packing folders Sat? They have a big luggage store at the Galleria, and they have all those Eagle Creek packing folders,cubes, everything. I didn't buy them yet, but I will def be getting the larger one for dh and maybe the next size down also...he might really need 2 of the larger ones...he packs an unbelievable amount of clothes...I mean, one year (I think the year we did Oct the first time) for a Sun to Sat trip (Mon-Fri at parks)...he packed 15 Tee Shirts!!! Can you believe that?!!!! I took about 8 out and repacked...he was soooo aggravated when we got there...he couldn't believe I took out "all that stuff he needed!!!!" How crazy is that? So...yeah, we need lots of help for him. For me and the kids,it'll just help with organizing and making the most of the room in the luggage!

Forgot to tell you...we saw Toy Story 3 last night!!! and yes, I did cry...quite a bit!! My eyes were soooo red and I just looked terrible afterwards...I was very emotional.....it was a super movie! I laughed (loudly) thru most of it...dh was rollin'!!! Just a couple of parts that really were sad.....Dh said it is his favorite of the 3 so far....I love them all tho'!!! I love the new characters ...I reaaaaallly like Dolly and Bonnie...that's all I am sayin'!!!

Today's the day!!

One of my friends suggested that I get up at 4am so I'm good and tired for my red-eye flight. I scoffed at her. Mother Nature agreed with her and an impressive lightening and thunder show rolled through starting at, yup, 4am. MAN am I tired!!

I still have a half day of work and that doctor's appointment. Plus the stress of the airport/if my plane is there/getting into the air. But I can't control all of that!

So, depending, I might not be back online for 2 weeks (yikes! how long before the withdrawals kick in?!)!

Not much going on here today. The kids and I went grocery shopping and to WalMart this morning. DS8 is laying of the couch now. He got too much sun yesterday. It has been blazing hot here lately. The kids had the sprinkler out yesterday and played in it for hours. Apparently the sunscreen didn't hold up so well for DS8, he has a little sunburn on his back. But DS11 is fine. And they used the same sunscreen.

So what are all the Snowbirds up to today??
