~Snowbird Chat 2~

Well..it's not technically a service area I guess~not like that one….they can't drive up there in trucks…lots of golf carts and tons of laundry trundling back & forth in those huge carts. ours was in the Tokelau building on the end closer to the water..

Hi everyone! I tend to go missing from the DIS for awhile but I miss chatting! I do keep up with most of you on FB and I love it.

My business has kept me very busy and I think the snow is making everyone want to plan their Disney trips. No complaints here! I just found out today that I got accepted into an Agent Education Program on the Disney Magic next month! Excited doesn't even begin to describe how I feel right now. This will be my first cruise and 3 other agents from my agency will be going too. :cool1::cheer2: Time to plan my outfits!

I've noticed an influx of people asking for tips (and I probably end up giving them more than they really want). I wonder if it has something to do with it being tax refund season as well?

touringplans.com added a cool new feature. They have floor plans of all the hotels on their website, and if you click on a particular room it shows you a picture of the view from the room or at least a room in the vicinity. They also have suggestions for how to request a similar room. I found it when I was on Tiki Man pages, trying to figure out which room type would be adequate at the Poly, and it doesn't require a subscription to access it!

It is definitely the busy season for TA's!! ::yes:: I bet I have booked at least 30 trips since Christmas! :faint: I guess this nasty weather is good for something. :rotfl: Everybody wants to plan a trip!!

I know where you mean. I would take that any day over the WL!!!! ::yes::

You're probably right Becca...I always forget about tax season!

Everyone wants to get out of this nonsense. The past few winters have been pretty mild and everyone was claiming it was global warming. Um, I think not! The wicked winter is back! I have had quite a few Spring Break trips booked lately and now the requests are coming in for the late summer/early Fall (a few of my clients got the latest pin codes...so did I).

Seems like we all did! Haha! :goodvibes

Shelly- I see that you have stayed nearly everywhere by now. Which resort is your favorite?

Yep! ::yes::

I have a few spring trips booked, but the bulk of my clients are going in August. We have an awesome agency exclusive offer in August that's just too hard to pass up! :thumbsup2

You too? :goodvibes

Polynesian is our favorite by far!! :cloud9: We also really like the BWI. ::yes::

My first ever trip was at the Poly / theme park view.

I so hope for my family to stay there one day. I want all of the girls to be old enough to remember it.:goodvibes I've been losing my mind trying to decided where to stay if we go in the fall and I really think AoA is the place for us in ths stage. The girls saw the theming and Nemo pool and went nuts. I love having a big splash pad for my littles. Gregg likes having our own space and bathroom. So while I'm dreaming of deluxes, I think AoA will be great. :thumbsup2

I think so too… if this would have been an option when mine were tiny I would have snagged it! The Deluxes are great for a family of 5, but with babies I think this is the best.

I think I'm going to hold out for a Deluxe this time. It may be one of the last times we can try the Wilderness Lodge without getting a second room.

Our stay at POFQ was so crowded last year, even with just 3 adults and 1 toddler. I can't imagine trying to put 5 people in a single room, even if it was much larger. We spend a lot more time in our room than the average Disney traveler though.

I do think AoA will be in our future. I'm just not sure how far in the future.

That's my girl! :cutie:

Okay, so raise your hand or wand if you are a Snowbird turned Travel Agent. LOL!!! :wizard::wizard::wizard:

I love my Disney outfit planning! :goodvibes

I think it is awesome that so many of us became TA's....I love my job!

AoA is amazing! I haven't stayed there yet but during the Earmarked Conference we got to tour a Cars suite. There is SO much space and I love the 2 bathrooms. The one in the Master bedroom has a walk-in shower and the other one has a tub. Perfect for families with young kids. I had 2 clients stay there last year and they came back with rave reviews. One stayed Lion King and the other Cars. I have a client going down next week staying in a Nemo room. Oh, and the pool is AMAZING!

Hey there, My name is Danielle(Dani) and I am new here. I have an upcoming trip in November and can't wait.
