Hello birdie friends. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Things here are very trying and tiring. Things with grandma have taken a rapid turn. We are looking at a matter of days with her now and we are just trying to keep her as comfortable as possible. She cant do anything on her own and she is ready to go Home. So I'm asking for some prayers please that her transition from her earthly life to her eternal one be smooth.

Oh gosh girl~~ I will be praying for her and your family through this time!! I have to ask because I forgot,..did she make her birthday? isn't she in her upper 90s? I just remember you saying a while back that y'all were wanting to celebrate her next birthday....let us know how you are doing!!

She turned 99 on Aug 4! And quite frankly she's doing better at 99 than I am at 28!

She turned 99 on Aug 4! And quite frankly she's doing better at 99 than I am at 28!

Well....

Apparently, it's been too long since I got hurt. So I sprained my ankle over the weekend. After much deliberation with my husband, we agreed that I should go to the doctor. (The deliberation came because it is CLEARLY a sprain and nothing worse... nor better)

The doctor called it a bad sprain, put me on crutches for a week, in a brace for longer, told me to do NOTHING, and upped my pain meds. Happy September, self?

Oh well. It could have been so much worse. We were out jogging and I put my foot down on uneven pavement and that was that. I managed to land on a patch of grass, so I have no road burn to go with it and it's not a break or a full ligament tear. It doesn't need surgery, it's just eyeroll worthy!
