~Snowbird Chat 2~

Prayers for your family, Kim. What an extremely stressful situation for you all.

My sweet sister called the other day to tell me about the Free Dining offer she'd gotten in the mail. Grrrrr!! Doesn't Disney know that WE need that pin code!!? LOL Bless her heart, though, she wanted me to use it, not realizing that was against the rules.

Wow I just found out about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. So sad.:sad2:

Thanks for all the prayers for Jason's dad! He's being moved to a rehab place either today or tomorrow. He wants to go home so he's not happy with that decision. All the tests show that he is cancer free. It's up to him to take the meds and eat so we'll see.

Onto happier news! Jason got news today that he passed the initial security clearance and he officially starts his new job on the 28th!!!!

Mindy- So sweet of your sister to want to share her pin. :goodvibes Happy double digits!!!!

Kim - Many hugs and prayers to your family. I hope that everything works out at the rehab place for your FIL. That is great news that things are going well for Jason!

I can't believe it's Friday again already. This week has really flown by!!! Madison had a busy weekend of Irish dancing last weekend and then she ended up getting sick on Tuesday and Wednesday. Poor little thing. Anyways....here's a picture of her from last Friday:

She's getting so big!!

Meghan I love her hair! She's so adorable!

I just had to jump on and share this with my DIS friends! Andrew brought home a paper from school today for social studies. He had to write about a special place he once visited and tell why it was special to him. He wrote: I went to Disney World and it is my special place because I like Mickey!" He drew a picture of him meeting Mickey. :goodvibes

October can't come fast enough!!!!!

What a cutie, Meghan!!

Awww, Kim! Doesn't that make you warm and fuzzy? I know that I love that Rylan loves Disney. It's a special connection that we have.

It's a wig!!!! It is so much easier this year with a wig and a dress. In the past, I had to curl her hair and her outfit was a blouse, skirt and vest. At her dance school, you have to earn the right to wear a wig and the school dress. I'm so proud of her!

After seeing the picture, I was going to say - "SHE GOT HER WIG!!!" I remembered you saying a while ago that she had done what she needed to do in order to be able to get that wig!!! You must be so happy that you don't have to curl all that hair anymore!!! :cool1:

KimmyG - so glad that Jay has been cleared for his new job!!! Hope his Dad starts to feel better soon! Still praying... So adorable that Andrew picked Disney as his project subject - so sweet! :)

Well, my birdie friends - I spent the morning and early afternoon at emerg today! I went to the local walk in clinic last weekend because I was having trouble peeing. (sorry if it is TMI!) Docs put me on antibiotics for a UTI (I didn't think that was what it was but he 's the doc?) Last few days I have had pain in my kidney area and in my lower abdomen and yesterday was so nauseous I thought I was gonna hurl! Did some research on my own and thought perhaps I had a kidney stone?! Went to emerg at 930 this am and had all sorts of tests done and apparently there is absolutely nothing wrong with me?!! :confused3 Healthy as a horse!! Still have some pain in my lower back but all my test (urine, blood, vag swab, ultrasound) came back with nothing to show!! Totally frustrating! :headache: The doc said to finish my antibiotic (on day 7 of 10), rest as much as possible, drink LOTS of water and take Advil for pain!

I would appreciate some prayers as well!!! This week is my kiddos March break and I DO NOT want to be unwell - too many plans for fun!!! :goodvibes

Well dang Kim!! I hate that for you!!! Dont you just feel disgusted when you KNOW you are sick or something is wrong and they send you home with a verdict of 'there's nothing wrong with you" ?!!! That's so aggravating! Well..drink lots of water...get some Cranberry juice as well!! IF you can, stay in bed all day and most of tomorrow (unless you want to get up for church)...then enjoy the week with your babies. Thats my med advice- and it's free, so take it or leave it!!! Us mommies are as smart as those ER drs anyday, right?!!!:rotfl: I will be praying for you my friend! Let us know how you feel tomorrow, or I will be worried!

Meghan she is too cute!!! Is she excited to be a big sister?

She's very excited! I know she's going to be the best big sister.

LOVE the wig, although I have to email the wig lady (as we call her). I'm not too pleased with how it looks and it's brand new!

Well, the doc called back around 530 and said they thought I might have appendicitis! Went BACK to the hospital to have a CT scan done (lovely! NOT fun) all to no avail - just an abnormally large appendix! They have tested me in all the areas they can possibly test me and there appears to be nothing wrong internally! Since we have a time change tonight I am NOT planning on getting up early so unless we go to the later service at church, I shall be playing hooky!!! ;) We are so very fortunate here in Canada to have "Free" health Care so I don't have the stress of having to pay for any bills after a lovely day like today! I was discharged with the orders of continue on with the antibiotics, rest as much as possible, drink lots of fluids and take advil for pain! Thanks for your prayers love and concern!!! I am so very fortunate to be so loved by so many!!!

I hope you are feeling better soon Kim. Enjoy the week with the kids! Our 'spring break' (even though it still looks like winter around here) is just a long weekend, and it is this coming weekend. :)

Hi all!! Hope you adjusted to the time change ok this morning! I was tired when I got up--I can't even count how many times I got up in the night coughing!!!! Kim....I hope you are feeling ever so much better this morning!!!
I think we may get some rain tonight or tomorrow...keeping my fingers crossed-we need it to wash down all this pollen!

Hope you're feeling better soon, Kim.

No major problems with the time change. Rylan didn't get up until nearly 9, though. Hopefully he'll get to sleep with out any problems. Chase doesn't seem to be affected.

I know that I'm ready for bed and it's only 6!

Hi all!! Hope you adjusted to the time change ok this morning! I was tired when I got up--I can't even count how many times I got up in the night coughing!!!!

Time change was fine this morning, but I feel so yucky. I got up for church but ended up going back to sleep instead...for 3 hours!!! My head is so congested and I've been coughing since Wednesday. I finally decided to take some regular sudafed (ok'd by the doctor) today, but it hasn't really been working. I was up a million times lats night too...tossing and turning, having to go to the bathroom, woke up in a sweat quite often too.

With my oldest son, I was congested from mid pregnancy til delivery. As soon as I delivered him, it was instant relief. I was like that a little with Chase but not nearly as bad.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

This weekend was a whirlwind. Yesterday I went shopping for party supplies for the kids birthday party this Saturday. Got them both new shoes. Visited the playground we love that is more like a pool now and the dam to see all the flooding. Today we barely made it to church thanks to the time change, hit the overly crowded grocery store then came home and did a little spring clean up of the yard. I can't wait to get planting!!!

Meghan- I bet Madison and you are both happy not to have to mess with curling her hair anymore! Hope you're feeling better soon. I had a stuffy nose and nose bleeds with Andrew throughout my entire pregnancy. It was awful but like Mindy said, it was gone the minute he came out. :confused3

Kim- Hopefully you're feeling better soon and you get it all figured out. Sometimes it's worse when they can't find answers. Take care of yourself!

Shelly- Enjoy spring break with the boys!

Mindy- How's Chase feeling these days? Better I hope.

Shawna- We've got plenty of leftover rain around here if you want some to help wash all that pollen away!

Here's some flood pics from our town.
This is the dam along the lower Susquehanna River with 29 flood gates open!!! Usually they only have a couple open for the hydroelectric plant.
