I found out today that one of my daycare moms will not have a position next year due to school budget cuts. I feel terrible for her. They just moved here and have 3 kids. I have her youngest in my care and they are such a wonderful family. I'd hate to lose them. Please pray that she is able to find something between now and next fall. I'm so afraid of what the schools are going to be like next year with all the budget cuts. The classes are going to be huge and there will be less instructional staff to go around. Right now Andrew has 18 in his class and it has made a huge difference from last year when he had 30. This economy is so frustrating.
Sheree- I say you leave tomorrow morning and call AKL on the way to see if they have any rooms available early. I think weather is a great reason to add a few days to your trip
Seriously though...I really hope the weather cooperates for you to have a safe departure!

Shawna- Our school district is closed April 20-25 (Wed-Mon). We don't get much of a spring break.

Maybe you should print out a pic of it and stick it to the front of the hood facing the windshield so it will be like leading a horse with an apple. Might get him to drive a little faster.
They have done 13 hrs LOTS of times but at the end they are practically climbing out of the car by the last 45 mins.
I think 15-16 hrs might be a bit much but he REALLY wants to do it so...??
We shall see what happens!!! Hopefully they will sleep lots the first few hours (planning to leave around 4 or 5 am) so the distractions I bring along will last for a while!

) but I may have to start back up again.

I've never had bruising??? Yikes!
This whole experience has changed him so much. He went in yesterday and started telling the dr he's been following their food plan and taking all his meds. Jason's mom blew up and told him to quit lying to the dr. The dr told him he's not fooling anyone and he certainly knows he's not been following the instructions. They are insisting on a feeding tube. He's refusing. They are pushing for hospice. He's refusing. Jason's mom says she can't handle being his nurse anymore. It's just really stressful for everyone at this point.
