Good Morning. I had to work all weekend, which actually is ok since I wasn't scheduled so I picked up an extra 16 hours of OT!!

My parents left this morning for Vegas, so it's just me and Grandma this week. Which also means that I've had to arrange for people to be here all week while I'm at work because she can't be on her own. Also add to it that it's snowing here now....I HATE SNOW! Luckily we live in an awesome neighborhood that one of the neighbors already called and told me they would shovel me out woohoo.

Also my friend is creating a schedule for her and I to take a trip to FL in March for Spring Training!!

We've had quite the relaxing day so far. Tony went out to breakfast with 2 of his friends and Maddie & I went out to Ihop with my older sister. Yummy! Since it's only 1 degree outside right now (yes, 1) we don't plan on going anywhere else today. Tony and I have a few more things to tackle in our office, so hopefully we won't be too lazy and we'll get that done. I also need to go through Madison's closet and get rid of things that are too small. I feel like we just brought things to Goodwill!

So excited for the Snowbirds with trips that are coming up!

I'M PACKED!!
Got the majority of me and the boys' stuff in 2 carry-ons (except for toiletries and a few pr of shoes) so we'll only have to check one bag. Hope it doesn't get lost, otherwise Andy will be screwed! Just have to remember to throw in make up, curling iron, etc after getting ready Sat morning. Andy jokingly tell me he wasn't packing anything, we could just buy stuff there, or get a cab to take us to Walmart. Ummm...sorry, I'm spending my money and time on FUN stuff, and hanging out in a Florida Walmart does not constitute FUN for me.
I'm sure we'll be doing laundry late Friday night/Saturday morning washing things he decides at the last minute he has to take. And I just realized I promised to buy the boys Lightsabers and something at the Lego store, so he better leave enough room in there to bring those babies home! This is going to be a Looooooonnnnnngggggg 4 days at work!

Congrats on the packing... I wish I could say the same.... I have never been this delayed in getting the cases set and ready to go... maybe it's a sign I am relaxed?

Are you leaving Saturday morning? I would be a mess!!
And as far as the coat? It darn well better warm up a bit, because we're not taking ours. I seriously do NOT want to lug those babies, as well as our kids, strollers, WAY too many carry-on's, etc, on to the plane. Can't do it! We'll each have sweatshirt or performance fleece jackets, and some long sleeved shirts, but we're just going to have to tough it out! (Again, visions of Joey from Friends...)

And "technically" since I only work a 4 hr day on Wednesdays, only 3 days of work! I have a suspicion I'll end up leaving early on Friday, too!

Don't panic. I don't pack until the day before a trip and it works out just fine for me! I just make a very extensive packing list, print it out and cross things off as I go along. I'm such a list person!

I'm so excited for you ladies preparing for your trips!! Packing is part of the fun, in my opinion.

I've been throwing things into my Disney tote here and there. I just got the stroller organizer and rain cover in the mail tonight!!! 5 months to go!!

Wanted to add: as sad as it is, we always end up hitting Walmart when we get to FL. We are driving this trip, so we may just bring everything with us. Anything to avoid going there LOL

Ok, so I got more done today !
For our WDW trips I always have the cases open and pack through out the week prior. However since we ditched our guest room for my home office, there is alot less space to lay out the suitcases!

I also have an extensive packing list which I keep in my WDW Binder !

I got our portable pharmacy packed ! I pack a little bit of every med we may need for our trip, so far we haven't got sick or needed anything, and I think this is a sign to continue to "Be Prepared".

I also scotchguarded my new Vera Bradley bags... now to decide what is going with me... the MailBag is winning, however I like the hipster. I want the mail bag size without the flip top! Anyhow, I have the mailbag, hipster and a mini hipster. DH will be there this trip with the backpack, however I like to have my things on me, rather than rely on him, especially if we split up in a park !

I am super excited !

Tomorrow I'll get my suitcase packed - fingers crossed!

Joanne-I'm so glad you mentioned your portable pharmacy! I have to remember to add meds to the list. My oldest is taking several different meds to control his asthma and I didn't even think about it.

OOOOHHHH, thanks for the reminder on the asthma meds. Drew only has a flare up once or twice a year, but if I don't have the inhaler, that would be the time he'll have the problems!

My response to Andy would have been, "What's this us, kimosabe? You want to go to Walmart, have fun. I'm going to a park."

HAHA! You got that right. I told him something I once saw on a secretary's sign: "Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine."

Also, we decided to use our Airmiles to get the 3 adult MYW tix that we need and buy Nats ticket from our local AAA!!! Today just happens to be our local CAA/AAA's "Disney Day" so I went and bought her ticket!!! With our dollar at such a good rate I got an excellent deal!!! Let the planning insanity begin!!!

I'm leaving in 16 days! Did I mention that my husband came around and decided we should go to the park either one or both of the days before the cruise? When we booked this cruise and the pre-cruise stay, he made me promise I wouldn't make him go in to the parks (since we're going in July). I agreed and he's decided this on his own!

I can't wait to go on the Disney Dream, too. A new, shiny ship! It'll be about 2x bigger, passenger-wise, than the other ships I've been on.

I've found my swimsuits and bought sunblock. That's about as far as I've gotten so far, but since we get free first bags on Delta, I kind of don't have to worry about how much we're packing! (A good thing, as my husband is a chronic overpacker)

Sarah! Is your cruise the maiden voya for the Dream? I know it's new and I thought it hadn't sailed yet.

Did some more vacation shopping today . Got the baby his swim suits. I got a pair of trunks and swim shirt on sale at the Gap for $6 each! I also got a second set for regular price. I was so excited!

I have to work today... I am usually so exhausted after work, and then we still have to run dd around to her dance and art classes each night... but I'm going to Disney !!! I think the laundry is done

Saw the christening of the Dream this morning, Live feed! I recommend anyone watch the video they have - it definitely got me in the disney mood... I just love mickey... every time I see him up on the stage it just makes me glow inside with warm fuzzies!
