Ticket price increases stink
This is why we have been so happt to take advantage of the YES programs at disney for our last 2 trips. We got 6 day park hoppers for 180$ each. You can't beat that deal. Everyone should do it if they have classes while you are in disney.
and for those who are considering Universal, we got our tickets at COSTCO. 139$ for a three day hopper that is good for 2 years.
I hope they offer the YES program for a long time, because I'd love to take advantage of it in the future.
Thanks Shawna! Funny, my laptop is an HP too and it has been a lemon from day one! I won't buy an HP ever again. DH has a Dell that's 5 years old and hasn't given him any trouble. I use mine lots more than he does though. I'm mainly worried about my work documents being able to transfer easily and also my digital scrapbooking software. I can always re-buy the scrapbook software in the mac format. It's under $100 so it's not too much of a loss. I'll have to start my research soon.
I'm on my second HP & the first lasted me for almost 4 years. My Mom had pretty much the same computer though and had huge problems. I've promised Logan that he can get a computer, when we get back to the States, because his last new computer was the Dell he got when he was in high school. He's leaning more towards building his own desktop though.
hey Red...take it easy with that job Honey!! Don't stress before the vaca!!! I agree,..the more of wedding stress/disasters you see make you not want to do it!! I loved our wedding, but if I did it over, it would have been even MORE simple, and would have asked for that $$ to take a more luxurious vacation...of course, Hind Sight is 20/20, right?!!
My Mom told me when I was a teenager that if I eloped I could have $10,000. I should have taken her up on that offer! (though I don't know where she would have come up with the cash) Naive me thought it would be nice to include family & friends as much as possible. Half my family didn't even show, because of the timing (winter) and I didn't get to spend much time with the people who did come, because, of course, it was off to Disney the morning after the reception.
We should have just had my sister and BIL meet us down in Orlando and eloped, then spent the money going to visit each of our extended family members individually throughout the next couple years.
I'm still waiting on approval to go to Japan before we leave (even though we still don't know when that is). They're doing inventory this month, so his commanding officer won't sign off on the leave paperwork, because he's worried that something will be missing. We have a hotel booked for the first week of July, which I'm willing to push back to the second week if I have to, but after that the Japanese schools go on holiday through August, so it will be crazy crowded. The summer isn't ideal for travel in Japan anyways and I don't want to couple the heat with the crowds. I made Logan promise that if we don't get to go to Japan before we leave, he has to take me for twice as long later.
Apparently, his paperwork is in Hawaii waiting for approval right now. I read in some relevant regulations that they're supposed to cut the orders within 5 working days of receiving the paperwork, so HOPEFULLY we'll have orders by Friday. I also read that since he has a family, the orders are supposed to give us 90 days with authorization to report early if we can get all the out-processing here done more quickly. So we're looking at the middle of September or earlier if the orders are cut this week. There's still a possibility that Hawaii will say no, and we'll end up going back to Kansas, but at this point I just want to know the when and where, so we can move on. If we end up back in Kansas, I'm fairly sure I can convince Logan to take me to WDW in December, especially if we don't end up getting to go to Japan before we leave.
