Snowark -- how were the crowds last week?

Hi Kim:

I would like to know how you found the crowds last week?

We have to pick holidays by tomorrow at my husband's work, and I am torn between the first week of dec. or sometime in november. We will be driving down. I know the decorations are up in dec, but I am looking for low crowds. Thanks,

We went in Nov last year the weather's great & crowds were very low EXCEPT over the Weekend (late Thrus.8-Mon 11) because it's JERSERY week and Super Soap weekend at MGM. You don't want to be there over Jersey Week ( NJ schools are out for a long weekend) and I think the whole state goes to WDW.

Unfortunately no Christmas Decor. As we were leaving around the 16th the Christmas stuff starting going up at the hotels.

We were there this time last year. From the 5th to the 14th to be exact. The crowds were very low. At one point during a rainy morning my son and I were the only people in Frontier land besides the CM. We also have a picture of DS in front of Cinderella's castle at 2:00 on the Friday afternoon (13th) and there is no one else in the picture.

It is a wonderful time to go because it is getting closer to Christmas and everything is soooo beautiful. I'm hoping to go next year at that time.

...next year...apparently the Friday before/after it, is a day off for something for the school boards - Jersey Shark - are you out there?...

JMO, but I'd go the first week of December...decorations are up, and MVCP has started!!

Sounds like november/early dec are good bets. Just hope the snow holds off like this year for driving down. Thanks everyone for responding,

I'm not excatly sure....but it usually falls around Nov.11 (Remembrance Day) and "SuperSoap" weekend, I think is the 2nd weekend in Nov.

Try asking on the CB or Resorts board....unless you want try to PM "Jersey Shark"- I'm sure he has all the answers.

there's a thread over on the DVC Discussion Board asking the very same question - and lots of answers and opinions...if I knew how to do that link to a thread for you, I would...but I don't!!

Sorry to be so slow getting back to you, Deb. As others have mentioned (before the hijacking..lol), the crowds were light, no problem at all. Now, if only the weather had been a bit warmer, it would of been perfect. I only wore shorts one day!

I've gone 4 times now, at the beginning of Dec., and wouldn't hesitate to go again. The decorations are so nice, light crowds, and the weather, although a mixed bag, wasn't that bad.



Now, back to the hijacking!

So sorry to hear the weather did not cooperate, but hey, at least you were at DISNEY!

Now to hijack - I hear Jersey Week is gonna be crowded especially since Halloween is just prior to Jersey Week!

I can let you know when I get back just how bad it was!LOL
