Snow!!!!

First snowfall of the season. It looks like a winter wonderland out there  We have about 2" on the ground, the trees are all coated. I LOVE snowfalls like this. Predictions are up in the air but I have read anywhere between 5-18" :lmao: We will see when it is all said and done.

Wow! That's quite a change from your beautiful, sunny 60's the other day! I know you were enjoying that and it didn't seem like you were too happy about the prospects of winter and/or snow coming, but I agree - that first snowfall is always the prettiest..:thumbsup2

After about 10 of them is when it starts to get a little old.. LOL..

Enjoy! :goodvibes

And when you realize you haven't seen ground/grass in your yard for over 4 months!

That looks pretty, and surely we will see our own soon enough.

I love the 1st snowfall, and that is about it :lmao:

Lovely pictures!

Just dreary rain in Rochester today. We had a smattering of snow yesterday which immediately melted.

So not ready for this. This past Monday I drove to Saratoga Springs. When I left home, it was clear and a nice November day (mid-40s.) I was thinking on my drive out how much I was looking forward to Christmas & decorating. When I got off the Thruway in Amsterdam, it was snowing and there was a dusting on all the buildings. I was so happy, "oh it's so pretty, I can't wait for Christmas." Then I drove up to Saratoga in the snow. And drug my luggage into the hotel in the snow.

Now I can't wait 'til May

I'm sorry, but YUCK!!!!!!! I can only dream that it won't snow in our neck of the woods. Unfortunately, my dreams never come true. :guilty:

My poor birch tree:

No thank you. I'll stick to my dream of living in central Florida. ;)

I could live with just Christmas Eve and Christmas Day..;)

I agree! We lived in northern Michigan for three years, and having snow on Christmas was just so magical. So cozy to sit inside by a lovely, sparkling Christmas tree, surrounded by family and friends, opening presents and sipping hot cocoa while the snow flakes fall gently outside making everything look like it was sprinkled with powdered sugar. :santa: Nothing like a white Christmas. :goodvibes

Sadly the same can't be said for a white Easter, which was often the case. And the reason we moved to Las Vegas. ;)

Enjoy your snow OP!!

I took some pictures with my phone (it doesn't take very good pictures) but here they are:

Those pictures are so beautiful, makes me almost miss visiting my family in Mexico, NY:scared1:

My mom is up your way this weekend. I am sure she is not enjoying it.

Another vote for keeping the snow there. Thanks!

If I never see the horrible white cold yucky stuff again I will be so so happy. :yay:

Have to admit that all of the photos here are very pretty - but I still don't want any of the white stuff until Christmas Eve.. LOL..;)

Those pictures are so pretty! I'm jealous - we never get any snow worth anything (sometimes, usually, none at all) here in TN. If you get tired of it, box it up and send it down here :)

I love, love, love hot weather and the beach....in the Summer. But, come Winter, I want to head up North and be surrounded by snow. We used to get quite a bit here when I was little but, alas, no more.

Your backyard landscaping looks like it must be stunning, by the way. I love the little reflecting pool and rock outcropping!
