The Nutcracker is my all time favorite ballet. Going to see The Nutcracker has become a holiday tradition for me and Hannah. Last year Clay and Alison went with us and it wasn't much fun as they didn't enjoy it as much as Hannah and I; so, no more Clay and Alison! LOL This year is going to be special because my Mom will be going with us. May be the beginning of a new tradition! Prior to showtime you can get your picture taken with the Sugar Plum Fairy, and, of course, I have to get Hannah's picture taken; and I always get a nutcracker to add to my collection.

I'm way behind again, but I just have to comment about The Nutcracker. Danielle is doing her second year. Last year she was a lamb and this year she's a mouse. We have really enjoyed this. Two years ago I took her to see it. It's becoming our family tradition. She's been practicing since early October every Sunday. Yesterday was a 3 hour practice. She'll be in 2 performances on the 20th. Anita I really think your kids will love it. Danielle isn't doing the school show, but ours is only act 1 for the schools. The week of the show we have 3 rehearsals.

Please post a picture of Danielle in her costume! We would all love to see it!

I am doing some serious DIS planning right now between cookie batches. I want to know a good room recommendation for the Beach Club villas -- closest to main pool at resort or a nice courtyard view... Online checkin, is 10 days out!!

We had a very nice courtyard view. Baylor says that it was 309. Are you in a studio or 1 or 2 bedroom?
There were also some sweet balconies on the other side overlooking the villa pool. Have you checked the Y&BC thread?

I don't want to be too specific, that way hopefully I will get something! These are good tips! I have been on that thread -- the Unofficial Guide has some recommended areas, too....

We had a 1br as well. The only thing I would suggest is make sure you don't end up with the handicapped accessible room. The bathroom is much nicer in a regular one plus you have a breakfast bar.
Last summer when we were there we visited some DIS friends that were on the same floor but had the handicap accessible room.
