Snow-Wigd and the Christmas Elves, a December pre-trip!

Yep, that's why you should all be grateful I'll be able to walk to get my groceries! :) I already don't see so well at night when I drive, so I try not to be out unless I really have to be.

By the way, that is a very large steering wheel, isn't it? Is she driving a monster truck? Maybe a cruise ship? That's a lot o' wheel there! ;)

I can resist the Veras. I can resist new fit flops. I can resist super cute shirts and pins from the Disney store.

I can even resist browsing The Timeshare Store.

But, I cannot resist the Target Dollar Spot!!!!!!!!

Our Target is very teeny and doesn't have any of this. However, I do plan to be in a much larger town this weekend. He he. Those are PERFECT stocking stuffers!! Love the tins and the board books. The tins will also be perfect for the in-laws because they are asking for money for our December trip for gifts!

I can't tell you how much I wish we were joining you all for NYE! I'm so excited that we will be saying hi to MeMom and the girls in July!
When do we get to meet you?

I so wish I could say "July!" but I have a feeling there will only be one trip next year, and it's planned for early December. :guilty: But, I can't be sad too long, I am able to stay home with Henry and some sacrifices must be made! And who knows, maybe we can squeeze in another trip...I really don't know yet!

Me and my teaching partners...
Can you guess what we were???

Still need to upload pix of Harper...

This appears to be a play on words, but my coffee deprived brain can't compute it yet. Or, you are an E. :lmao:

Oh, and since people are sharing costumes, I have to share this:

This is a guy from a town I used to live in. He is literally called "The St. Cloud Superman" (you can google him!) He stands on the corner in the town, sometimes holding an American flag or a sign as the traffic drives by him. Nearly everyday, rain, snow, 100 degrees with 98% humidity. Doesn't matter, he'll be there.

He thinks he's fighting crime, the American way. Making St. Cloud a more peaceable town to live in.

He used to always stand at the Dairy Queen (where he is in the above picture). Then the story on the street was he harassed a gal one time on the property, so Dairy Queen kicked him off. He stood across the street at the coffee shop with a sign that said "Dairy Queen hates Superheros".

He does wave to all the little kids as cars drive by, but something tells me he's not playing with a full deck....

Cute Halloween costumes! It looks like you and your teaching partners had a lot of fun! :goodvibes

Are you counting down the days until your trip?! What sorts of things are you doing to get ready?

Have a great day!
Katie

I was over on Happydogs trippie last night and saw some terribly cute Mickey Christmas stockings that she is planning on taking to Disney....
So I copied her idea!

We headed out shopping today and right at our own Target I found three Mickey stockings and three Minnie stockings. I still need to find one more Minnie but the two other Targets we checked out today didn't have either one.
Tomorrow we will try the other two Targets in the Wichita area.
I have a friend that has an embroidery machine so I plan to have our names put on the top...

I'll post a picture of them tonight.
Last weekend we were Target shopping and found a treasure trove of Disney stocking stuffers. Needless to say I'm just showing you a sample of each item we bought. I had a full cart!
Tins to put Disney gift cards in...

Some board books for Harper's stocking...

Mickey pens and mini journals for stockings...

Dry erase boards and notepad...

Mickey head spill in the parking lot.

I'll post more pictures of shopping for a Disney Christmas later tonight! :santa::santa::santa::santa::santa::santa::santa:
Well, I made it over to our Target today and sure enough, there were the Disney items for a dollar!!! I decided to surprise Range with a little 2 ft. tree in our room at POR and so I got him a little gift to put under it every day we are there. I got one of those tins to use as a box. Also picked up stickers for the Mousekeeping envelopes. Great idea, thanx for pointing me in that direction!!!!

I may just need to hit Target......

Cute stuff you are getting together there!

Awww thanks :D
You are very welcome!

I really did have this one beat but wigd would not let me post it....

Do a google search for a fat Elvis in a white jumpsuit!!!!

LOL!!!

I think Spiderman is my favorite!
I'm just going to say yuck and leave it at that!
Wigd, I'm a little concerned that Baylor is not getting enough sleep. He has some serious black rings under his eyes! Has he been enjoying his candy? Has he shared with his parental units?
I put him to bed extra early and those black circles were gone the very next day!
He has been enjoying his candy and unfortunately so have I which hasn't done much for my shrinking wardrobe....
:sad2:

Your teacher pals look nice. How did you guys do your partying?
My teacher pals are very nice! We have our parties first thing in the morning. The kids come to school dressed in costumes, they parade, then we have our snacks. The whole thing lasts for about an hour, they get dressed and we go about our day. The best thing is no kids asking about when the party is starting.... It's over and done!

Can't wait to see how cute Harper was!

I can't believe that her pictures are still on the camera.....bad, bad, Mimi!

My nearest one used to be about five miles from here. Now, I have one about a stone's throw away. Very convenient. I wish it was a Super Target, though, and I could do groceries, too. Fortunately, the Kroger is in the same shopping strip even closer to my house. When I get old and my driving is a menace to society, I know I can at least walk up the street to get my groceries. ;)

We didn't get a Super Target either, but it's nice to have the one we got. We have Dillons just next to the Target. It's a Kroger company and a very nice grocery store.

OMG.....you're right! If he posts anything worse than that, he WILL get kicked off. :rotfl2: I can't let that happen.....No more posts Shocker, please, behave yourself, resist the temptation. :worship:
I can't believe I actually quoted his post, more pictures:scared1:
Oh, that is so nice of you to ask. But, I actually have a few extra days off this week. I have to use some vacation before it expires at the end of the year. Poor me....I know! So I think I am going to head to the closest Target. There are some other stores that I like to visit in the same area, so I'm good.

Here's hoping you pass ROFR. I know that my first contract didn't pass and that was a bummer. But I've got a good feeling about yours!!!!!!
Well, let me know how you do when you get there, if I can help you out, I will!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I am laughing so hard right now my stomach hurts. Those spidermen are priceless. (and not too risque, either, I might add). When I get myself together, I will goggle the Elvis! :rotfl2: Too freak'n funny. I'm so glad I checked in tonight. That's the best laugh I've had all day.

OK.....going to bed now, but I'll be back on the computer at 0600am EST to make my ADR's for May. :woohoo:
Mary Ellen, I know you are off to bed but I'm still going to wish you the best of luck with your ADRs!
:sad2:

I'm sure it's totally worth it to be home with Henry! When our kids were that little we could never afford to go. I think you are doing very well!

You are on the right track, think color!

I agree, perhaps a few cards short of a full deck....

Katie
Hi Katie! We did have fun and we try to have fun everyday....
I am counting down the days, we are at 47 today!
I'm not doing nearly enough
to get ready. We do have our second purple locker ordered. Part of the beauty of having the locker is not so much prep for the trip. I really need to figure out what I'm wearing....and get it bought.
That will be a big part of the battle for me
We also need to figure out what groceries we need to order....
Lots to do!

Hi Wanna! I'm glad you found the Disney dollar stuff! I was soooo excited to happen upon it.

I grabbed some cute stuff! I have to post that and my halloween photos on my PTR -- probably have to wait until this weekend to get caught up! Can't believe we are getting so close! Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away!!!

I have been enjoying your pre-trip report. Great finds at Target. I love the Mickey mouse tins.

Hey Patricia, You are the one that quoted him and made them all show up again!
Baylor was quite proud of his idea, he and his buddies are going through a horror movie craze....
A year ago, he wouldn't go near anything that would give him nightmares. Now he's quite brave....
Not a bit of luck on the waffle iron. The last one I tried for went for $61.:headache:
Quite a bit more than I thought it would sell for.

Well...I don't know about "smart" but I'll take it! LOL Alison is in 7th grade and still likes to treat or treat so you've probably got a few more years. Of course, she's also a candy fiend so that may have something to do with it!

Just checking in to say HI! Secretly I was hoping for more pictures from shocker, but all I found was meMom behind the wheel of her 1965 buick!

Oh nuts on the waffle maker!!!!! :headache: $61.00??!! GASP! Nah, that is breakfast at WDW for your family and the real waffles -- who knew??!! I bet more will come around...

love this PTR! always entertaining....:)
Thank you, my dh is always good for a few laughs.

I'm already scared!

I'm still watching them on ebay, and yes, there are more!

A few months ago we found out that "Wicked" was coming to Wichita. I really wanted to go, so I told Marc to try and get us tickets in the cheap seats. My stipulation was that I wanted to be first row in the balcony in a centrally located seat. He got the tickets and now our show is upon us. We get to go on Sunday afternoon. This will be the last show and I'm sooooo excited! Most of the staff from my school as gone and it's had rave reviews.
