Oh no, that would have been awful if you had been sick! Good thing you feel better. I swear, I always attempt to do my hair, but after a couple hours this Florida humidity just ruins it. I forgot last time to bring my round brush, so it was pointless to even try to blowdry my hair!

I honestly do not know why I bring a blow dryer...that humidity is brutal! I end up wearing it up most of the time anyways. I believe it is good to have options, both with clothes and hair styles while on vacation.

I am sorry your DBF got sick before your vacation, I can't imagine how you must have felt...like I said I was literally in tears all day just at the thought of being sick...I am keeping my fingers crossed and knocking on wood that I won't get sick!

Welcome to the Pre Trippie! I am glad you stopped by. Oh I wish he would propose BUT he has made it very clear that I must graduate college first and get a job before he will even think about getting me a ring. Good thing I am patient, or am I?

I know that we are getting really close to vacation because yesterday DBF started packing. Four days in advance is real good for him, he usually packs the day we leave..unlike me who packs weeks in advance. I am so proud of him, he even wanted to go shopping for some new clothes! This never happens because first of all he is a man and second of all he just waits for me to buy him clothes (which I always do). So we ventured off to Kohls yesterday afternoon and had ourselves a little shopping spree (well he had a shopping spree, I just got to help pick stuff out...he was like my little doll!)

I didn’t take pictures of the stuff. DBF would roll his eyes at me and make fun of me for days on end if I told him "I need to take pictures of your clothes for my Pre Trip Report on the DIS." But I think I can remember most of everything he bought:

*3 Pairs of Shorts
*2 shirts
*1 nice button down shirt
*3 Pack of White T-Shirts (he lives in these things)
*Wallet
*Sunglasses
*A belt for my nephew – My nephew’s 2nd birthday is this month and when he was over at my house the other day my nephew was running around and his shorts just fell down to the ground because he is so tiny. So DBF started laughing and said he is gonna get him a belt for his birthday because we constantly have to pick his pants up for him.
*I got white flip flops because they were really cute (Did you really think I could go into a store and not walk out with something?)

The reason DBF felt the need to go shopping was because he has Kohls card and they sent him a coupon for 20% off everything in the store, so it was a good deal, only it was even better than that because when we got to the checkout line the belt we bought for my nephew didn’t have a bar code to scan so they were trying to find out how much it was and find the right barcode number, we ended up holding up the line for a good amount of time. Well the checkout lady felt really bad for making us wait (we didn’t even complain or look annoyed or anything) that she said she was going to give us 30% off everything!!!! How great is that?! On top of that, the barcode number they gave her for the belt wasn’t going through in their system, so she said she was gonna give us the belt for $1.00!! (It was definitely worth $10.00 or more). So as we were leaving I told DBF that the pixie dust was already beginning! He laughed at me and probably called me a nerd or something to that effect. But he was happy because he saved more money and got my nephew a pretty much free belt.

We then went back to his house to start packing his stuff meaning he picked what clothes he wanted to bring with and I sat there and folded them because he hates folding. (This was my way of showing him my good wife skills) Let me tell you something, I thought I had a lot of clothes, but this boy seems to be giving me a run for my money! I swear he had so many baskets full of clothes. He kept coming up from the basement with more. I felt like I was buried in his clothes because he had so many. Then he proceeds to tell me has to go put another load in the wash! I was like, “How many clothes do you possibly have?!” When we buy a house it will definitely need to have very large walk in closets for all our clothes because between the two of us I do not think an average closet is going to be enough.

So this means that me and DBF are pretty much all packed , but the rest of his family is planning on packing the day we leave. That makes me awfully nervous because I know we will not leave on time. And timing is everything when you are driving such a long distance. Everyone feels so free since there is no plane to catch that they think they can just take their own sweet time. But DBF isn’t going to work the day we leave so he will be like a drill sergeant making sure everyone is packing and staying on schedule. And that ladies and gentlemen is why I love him.

I only got a few more Disney Characters to send DBF...here is what he has gotten in the last 2 days.

Here is one of our new kittens! That one looks just like her mommy. They aren’t even walking yet they just squirm around—it is very cute.

DH and I went to Kohl's to look for shorts for him and they must have had about 5000 cargo shorts. They are so heavy that I think they would be way too sweaty for DH. He did find 1 nice light pair of shorts there so he grabbed them.

We haven't packed yet but we still have 11 days...

BTW - thanks for checking out myspace again. I've been having fun with it. I want to keep it kind of simple as I'm keeping it public viewing. After our WDW trip I plan on putting a slideshow of pics on it.

Awww what an adorable kitty kitty. Who is going to watch them while you are gone? My BIL is actually coming over to stay at our house. My flower garden will probably just be coming up next week and we need someone to gently water it each day.... I am packed too...actually not true. I still have to do my DD9 but I am finishing hers Thurs or Fri. We leave early early Mon morning.
One thing I am concerned about is this....they made all room non-smoking as of June 1st. I am thinking that smokers will be cheating and smoking in the rooms. Whereas before at least they could request a smoking room. Did you read Princess V's trippie? Twice she has gotten smoky smelly stinky rooms which were supposed to be non-smoking. So I am worried this will happen to us
Well if I dont catch you before you leave, have a wonderful drive down there... and a great trip....can't wait to read your report and see lots of pics!!!! Maybe we will even meet up!

Kohls does seem to have a lot of cargo shorts, which is fine for DBF because he likes all the pockets to hold his stuff. It was just hard finding ones which were the right length for him, my goodness that boy is picky. I will have to visit your myspace again to see any additions!

Dont worry the kittys live outside with their mommy. We have barn cats, which pretty much take care of themselves. My brother and Dad just make sure the mommy has enough food and water. I hope everything works out with your room! Smokey rooms would be NO fun, I would most definitely have a headache if I had to sleep in one. I hope to you see you at WDW!!!

haha, funny story - one of my best friend's boyfriends (of 5 years) insisted that he was not proposing to her until she graduated college... and she did graduate, in may. And, one week later, in front of the castle at DLand, he proposed....

This is IT! Tomorrow we leave for Disney World! Wow, I started this Pre TR in January, can you believe it? And here it is, the eve of vacation! It is amazing how quickly time passes. This will be the final update for this Pre TR even though we don’t leave until tomorrow night, but I will be running around all day tomorrow, and I don’t think I will have time for a real update, but I will definitely be checking in throughout the day!

First off, I need to bring you up to speed on the final Disney Countdown Characters which I sent DBF.

Captain Jack Sparrow for 2 Days, love him.

Lightening McQueen for 1 Day, love Cars. DBF and I ordered it from Netflix and we watched it the other night, I almost cried it was so cute!

And the Big Cheese Himself for today, 0 Days (DBF doesn’t count tomorrow as a day, don’t ask after all, it is his character countdown )

So today I finished up packing, I think. I keep finding more things to squeeze into my tiny suitcase!

The suitcase filled with all my clothes, shoes, and accessories.

My toiletries bag filled with all my “girly” things. Why do men only have to pack like 6 things: Shampoo, deodorant, hair gel, soap, shaving cream, and razors...must be so easy.

The “carry on” bag and Passporter! Even though we are driving, I still call it my carry on bag because it is what I will have immediate access to. My Passporter is bulging I think I filled it to capacity.

I also printed another set of directions for the other car. Don't wanna get lost on the way down there.

Last but not least I laminated my LGMH! I will have it hanging from my backpack in the parks. If you will be there, say Hi!

Well my fellow DISers, this concludes my Pre Trippie. (unless of course something major & important happens, like we switch the laundry detergant we are bringing because we all know how important that is! (That is for you DM!)
