Snow White Does the Creep on the Trip that Almost Wasn't A Dec 11/Jan 12 TR 7/24 NEW

Holy Cow Joni you're going SO SOON!!!! I'm so excited for you!

hahaha don't worry about having hundreds of pins. I do it. It's sick. :rotfl: But not really.

KRISTEN AND I GO TO PF CHANGS ALL THE TIME. We crack up every time they mix the sauces. I don't know why the heck it's so funny!!

Those banana spring rolls are INCREDIBLE. Nom I want some.

I agree with your opinion of brave :goodvibes Loved it... but it's not tangled.

AHH I miss schoolbread. I haven't eaten it in so long! I think I was too full on my last couple trips.

Hmmm Dirt. :rotfl2: Frump.

HAHAHA your descriptions are making me chuckle.

Thank you!! I cannot believe how close it is!! AHHH!

I'm glad I'm not alone! I have so many of them...but I want MORE!

:lmao: I'm pretty sure John and I awkwardly giggled when they did that too. It's so weird!

Those banana springrolls are AMAZING!

Yeah, Brave was fantastic, but it just can't compete with Tangled!

I am now completely obsessed with schoolbread! I will definitely have to have some next week!

Haha I was feeling very frumpy when I wrote that update! :rotfl:

Ahhh this update!!!! I knew by the title that school bread would be involved. YAY Joni I'm so glad you loved it!! It's seriously my favorite food in the universe. I'm OBSESSED. You are ever so welcome. :)

P.S. Jess and I LOVE P.F. Changs!!! We seriously go there all the time! We love when they mix the sauce at your table...FART SHOES. :P It's so awkward. We love the lo mein too! YUM. I freaking LOVE those spring rolls. Ahh food.

It was SO GOOD. I am eternally in debt to you for recommending it. I want some right now! Thank goodness I can have some in FIVE DAYS!

:lmao: That's so funny that you both said that in your comments! It really is weird when they do that!

Hey Joni!

I have been lurking your TRs for quite some time! I love them!

Anyway, I decided to finally post to give you a heads up about the new Brave display in Epcot (I didn't get a picture...sorry!) They have movie-inspired games set up, and it looked like a lot of fun! Last time we were there, we didn't play them because we hadn't seen Brave yet, but on our upcoming trip, we'll definitely be playing them. Since John loved the movie so much, I figured you might want to check it out. It's set up near the UK in the WS. (:

:welcome: Thank you for reading along, and for commenting!

Aww wow that sounds so cool! I think John would really enjoy checking that out! Thank you for telling me about it! :)

AHHH I missed the single digit dance! Well, I'll do it now then, all by myself...

 :dance3: :jumping1: :woohoo:

Can't believe your trip is so close, I'm so jealous! :(

I just saw Brave too! I actually liked it a lot, I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did, it surprised me! But it is definitely not as good as Tangled, no way! That reminds me, it's been a couple of weeks since I've watched Tangled, I'm going to have to fix that soon...I watch Toy Story 3 and Tangled SO much it's ridiculous, I'm surprised I don't have them memorized by now! :rotfl:

Glad you finally got to try schoolbread! I tried in October...or was it December? I can't remember, but I liked it, I just thought I would love it and I didn't. I feel like I got a bad batch of it or something, I should give it another try! :thumbsup2

Yay for more World Showcase exploring! We never look at the Viking stuff, we just head straight to Maelstrom and then hang out in that store for like, an hour, because it smells so good in there! :yay:

I try to look at the artwork and everything in Japan, but again...I'm more interested in the shop, everything is so pretty in there! :)

Jen we are down to FOUR DAYS until we leave and FIVE DAYS until we check into the BC! I just can't believe it! :woohoo:

:lmao: I'm the exact same way with Tangled and Toy Story 3! I was Up a ton too. For some reason those are always my go to Disney movies!

I love that store too! John always wants all the troll stuff. I just like to smell it!

Haha I know what you mean- the shops are always so cool! :goodvibes

Hi everyone! Well, I’m leaving for Disney World tomorrow, and I’ve got about 1,000 things I should be doing right now, so naturally I’m sitting on the DIS. HAHA. :rotfl: This is my life. In my defense, I promised much earlier on that I was going to wrap up this TR before I left, and when I promise something, I never ever break that promise. EVER. (Tangled, anyone? ;)) So let’s finish this baby!

Now...here’s the problem. My computer hates me, and did a really mean and nasty thing. Either that, or I have one of those little devilish Sour Patch Kids lurking around my house, because the rest of my pictures from this trip have disappeared! I seriously have no idea what happened, but they’re just gone. This would be extremely devastating, but I only had like ten more pictures, so really it’s only slightly devastating. :sad1: Either way, prepare yourselves for a pictureless last update. I’ll try to make up for it by immediately posting my wrap up post next, and then hopefully doing a PTR post tonight.

Alright, you’ve been warned. No pictures. Here we go. When I left off we were continuing on our adventures through the WS! We were really enjoying exploring all of the countries in more detail, but for some reason we decided we had done just about enough of that and blew off the rest of the countries. Sorry you guys. You’re still cool, we’re just easily distracted when it comes to exploring the parks.

So what distracted us from the WS, anyway? Another DISboard “favorite”- sampling the Beverly at Club Cool! In all my trips to Disney I had never tried the different soda offerings, so I was really excited to try them! First thing I noticed upon entering Club Cool? The floor was ridiculously sticky. I guess when people decided they were done with their sodas it was customary to just dump them in the floor. The second thing I noticed? People act like that’s little samples of liquid gold coming out of those machines. They were pushing each other and frantically gulping the stuff down. So maybe liquid gold isn’t a good analogy, because really, who wants to drink gold? So let’s say, they were acting like it was the elixir of life.

Anyway, we finally made our way through the masses and tried everything. Naturally, I found the Beverly to be repulsive and gagged on it. :crazy2: Here’s where I’m really disappointed about my pictures getting erased, because John took a super funny picture of me gagging. Yes, gagging. No shame. So, since my husband is unnatural, he LOVED the Beverly. Of course he did. Honestly, I wasn’t even surprised. He drank like three cups of it. Weirdo. I really enjoyed the “Smart Watermelon” from China and the “Fanta Colita” from Costa Rica!

Once we were nice and refreshed from our visit to Club Sticky (haha, I’m so creative) we decided to do a little shopping in Mouse Gears! I was really excited to get some of the new t-shirts they had released, so I got two of them! I got the old school Peoplemover shirt, and the Walt Disney World shirt where each letter is taken from a different attraction in WDW. I thought this shirt was very fitting for me, since I did that game in my first ever PTR where you had to figure out where the wait time signs came from. Thank you, Disney World, for making a shirt just for me. You’re so thoughtful.

After our shopping adventure we were surprised to see that it was already dark outside! Sheesh, winter days are so short! We decided to head back to the WS so we could get a good spot for Illuminations. We debated on whether or not to grab some dinner, but we were both still pretty stuffed from our Le Cellier lunch, so we settled for a snack. So, what was our snack, exactly? Well, we’re creatures of habit, so we each got a schoolbread and John got another Viking Coffee! Haha, hey, what can I say? When we like something, we REALLY like it! We ended up sitting outside of Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe in the cute little covered area and enjoyed our snacks. After we finished we still had a little time before Illuminations, so we wandered around until we found a good spot and then enjoyed the beautiful show! Watching Illuminations on your last night in Disney is a bittersweet experience. It is a great way to wrap up your trip because it’s such an amazing show, but at the same time it’s already such an emotional show that it’s really hard to watch when we’re already on an emotional rollercoaster!

After Illuminations it was time to do what I had been dreading- leave our last park of the trip. WAHHH! I was so not ready to leave, but alas. We had to anyway. We made our way out of the park sadly, and drove back to CSR in silence. I crawled in the bed feeling sorry for myself, and fell asleep quickly.

Okay so usually I would do an update on our drive home, but since my pictures are deleted I really don’t see the point. When we got up the next morning we decided to grab breakfast at Pepper Market before we left since we had enjoyed it so much earlier in the week. I thought it was going to be an awesome experience because the grumpy sausage lady from earlier in the week was actually really nice that day. Unfortunately all that changed when I found a long red hair BAKED into a muffin I was eating. Here’s a fun fact about me, y’all. I would rather drink from a toilet than find a hair in my food. I’m not kidding- there is nothing more disgusting in this entire world to me than finding hair in food. Ugh. I can’t even think about it without gagging. So needless to say, after that I was done with breakfast.

We hit the road at about 9:30, and had a very uneventful drive home. We ended up making it home at about 8pm. We were so tired, and I couldn’t believe that I only had one more day off before I had to go back to work! UGH. Well, I guess that’s what happens when we don’t go to Disney in the summer! I was sad to be home, but so happy to see my doggies, like always!

Well, that’s it folks! Sorry for the anticlimactic final update! The whole picture thing is really frustrating, but I’m just glad it didn’t happen earlier! I’m going to try to write the wrap up post right now so you’ll have that to read too! Thanks for reading! :)

No worries! Very descriptive story post. Enjoy your trip, we'll be wishing we were there too. I've got a lot of writing to get done this week, I'll be channelling "One Man's Dream" if you go there. Everytime I go in there I'm so creatively inspired (please send pics).

"It's a Small World of Soda" is like a sociology experiment, I swear. Some of the favors at so good (yes, agreed Fanta is way the best one). Others, there's no way people drink it. That and people elbow you out of the way like the pizza samples at a grocery store (mmmmm.....free samples).

Big fan of the Pepper Market too! I wish it was in one of the parks though.

Looking forward to seeing pictures from your trip. Enjoy!

Don't worry Joni :) thankfully you're a wonderful writer so I am very entertained with or without pictures! I can't believe you're going to Disney TOMORROW! Thats insane. I hope you have the most amazing time and I seriously can't wait for that TR :)

Thanks! :) I'm glad you still enjoyed it! I will definitely take lots of pics! I love One Man's Dream!

:rotfl: You're so right! Your description is spot on!

That would be really great!

Thank you! :) I am planning on taking TONS of pictures!

Thank you so much! :) I'm glad my writing made up for the lack of pictures! :goodvibes I know, I seriously can't believe it either! I'm SO excited! I am planning on taking more pictures than I've ever taken before. Plus this is my longest trip ever, so I will definitely have a pretty good TR coming!

Plus I get to meet Kristen! YAY! :dance3:

Okay! Let’s do this wrap up post! :) So, here are just some general thoughts about this trip. Did we have a good time? OF COURSE. Were there some truly magical moments that I will remember forever? Absolutely. Was it our best trip to Disney? Honestly, no. As time has passed and my Disney obsession has grown and I’ve made more and more trips to WDW, I’ve discovered something very interesting about myself. It probably sounds completely insane, but I actually PREFER going to Disney World in the summer. Yes, the sweltering, crowded, insane summer. I don’t know what it is, but I just love it during that time of year. Don’t get me wrong, I completely adore the Christmas decorations, but something about summer at Disney is just magical to me. I’m weird.

So, let’s do the highs and the lows, shall we?

Highs

1. Seeing the gorgeous Christmas decorations again!

DSCN0492.jpg

DSCN0129.jpg

We loved seeing all of the Christmas decorations so much in December 2010, so we were really happy to see them again! Also, this time the weather was a lot warmer too, so we could actually enjoy them!

2. Staying at Coronado Springs Resort!

DSCN0296.jpg

DSCN0304.jpg

Even though it was unplanned, we were so excited to stay at a new resort! We ended up really loving it here! It was definitely one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve ever stayed in!

3. Discovering new favorite foods!

DSCN0250.jpg

DSCN0595.jpg

Being Disney freaks and foodies, John and I were so happy with our dining choices on this trip! We found so many new places and dishes that have made their way onto our “Must Do” list for all future trips!

4. Meeting the frump!

DSCN0570.jpg

I love DISmeets, and meeting Jess (DisneyFreak508) and her mother was such a wonderful experience! I love connecting with my fellow Disney lovers!

5. As usual, spending quality time with my wonderful husband!

DSCN0437.jpg

Like I’ve said before- absolutely nothing can compare to having quality time with John. We cherish our Disney trips so much, and I’m so excited that we have another one to enjoy starting tomorrow! I am blessed to have John in my life, and I know how precious our time together is, so that is something I will never take for granted! :goodvibes

The Lows

1. The ASMo debacle.

DSCN0044.jpg

Anytime we have a less-than-perfect experience at Disney it really sticks with us. Unfortunately our issues at ASMo were not the best way to start our trip, but it all ended up working out fine in the end!

2. John being sick

DSCN0011.jpg

Even though he didn’t really let it slow him down, John was not feeling well on this trip at all. I felt bad for him because he pushed himself to have a good time, but he definitely wasn’t at his best.

3. The Ibuprofen Affair.

Sorry, no picture for this one. Anytime John and I have a fight it always makes for some awkward times, and this was a pretty big one for us, so that was definitely a low of the trip!

I really can’t think of anymore major lows for this trip! Overall we had a really great time, even though, like I said, it wasn’t our best. I hope you all enjoyed reading along on our adventures and I really hope you’ll join me for my next TR! Thank you all SO MUCH for reading along and commenting. It really means a lot to me that so many of you are interested in hearing about our trips. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! You’re amazing! :grouphug:

Well, that’s about it. I guess the only thing to say now is...Se ya real soon! ::MickeyMo

Stay tuned for one last PTR update before I leave tomorrow!

I'm glad you warned me ahead of time of the picturelessness of this update. Because it really matters to me. Otherwise I probably would have stopped reading.

JUST KIDDING.

HAHAHA, the elixir of life. That reminds me of Sweeney Todd. :confused3 I like China and Costa Rica too! And I really like the Israel one, Kinley. I don't remember what it tastes like right now though.

Sigh... leaving Disney. Why must it happen? I swear, when we have to leave our trip next year... we're gonna be blubbering messes. :sad1:

OMG. Hair is the most disgusting thing for me too. SERIOUSLY, we're the same. No. Don't get anywhere near my food with hair. JUST NO.

Oh hi. Yet again, we're the same. I am SO excited to go back in the summer so I can see the parks for what they really are, as much as I do love the Christmas decorations as well. My last two trips have been in December so I'm ready!!!!

You and John are so precious. I can't wait to hear all about your brand new trip!

I love, love, LOVE your trip reports! Really! We seem to have a similar sense of humor and you notice the same weird stuff that I do! :thumbsup2

I'm sorry to see this trip report come to an end, but am very much looking forward to your next adventure!

P.S. Hair in the food???? No, no, no and NO! :crazy2:

Yay, you finished just in the nick of time before you leave tomorrow! It sounds like you really had a great time together, and that's what's important.
Also, I love Coronado. Because I can't afford to deluxe on my lone salary, CS makes me feel like I'm staying deluxe!

Good luck getting everything ready before you leave!

EWWWW hair in your food? Noooo! :( That's just horrifying! And yeah, I noticed the same thing about people at Club Cool, people are insane for that free sodie! :rotfl2:

Great wrap up post! Even though it wasn't your best trip it still sounds like you has a great time! I'm so happy you are going back tomorrow!!! I hope you love the Beach Club, text me if you remember!! :goodvibes :grouphug:

Eeekk I can't believe you leave tomorrow!!!!! How exciting!!!!!!

I'm glad you has a good trip and I CANNOT wait to hear about your next one! You are going to have such a great time!!

I'm so behind! Happy belated anniversary! Looks like you had a wonderful evening. Can't go wrong with Chang's and a Pixar movie. I absolutely loved Brave. The scene where Merida spends her free day riding her horse, shooting her bow, climbing beside the waterfall - gorgeous!

How exciting that your trip is so close. Prepare to have your mind blown when you get a whiff of the BC lobby. Seriously, it's heavenly. Thanks for another wonderful trip report. Can't wait for the next one!

Haha I'm glad you still love me despite my picturelessness. NEW word right there.

I can't really remember that one either...I will have to try it again. When I'm there. IN TWO DAYS.

Ugh, I can't even think about leaving Disney then, even if it's over a year away. It's just too painful.

THANK YOU. It's the nastiest thing EVER.

HAHA Hello twin. Peanut butter and Oreos, anyone?

I love, love, LOVE your trip reports! Really! We seem to have a similar sense of humor and you notice the same weird stuff that I do! :thumbsup2

Thanks! :) I'm really excited to write the next one! The trip hasn't even started yet, but I think it's gonna be a good one!

SERIOUSLY. It was so freaking gross!

Thank you so much! I'm just about ready to go!

Seriously girl, it was nasty. Ugh. I still gag when I think about it. Haha yeah, they act like they're in the middle of the Sahara and it's the last beverage spot for miles.

Thank you! :) It was a really nice trip, even though it wasn't our best. I am SO excited to stay at the Beach Club! I will definitely text you!

AHHH I am prepared. I love Disney smells!

Thank you for reading along! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! :goodvibes

Hi everyone! :wave2: Well, this is it- my last PTR post before we leave TOMORROW! I seriously cannot believe our trip is here! I have been counting down for four months, and now it's happening! I'm SO EXCITED!

I have had a very productive day, I'm proud to say. I went to the gym this morning, packed, cleaned my house, and ate a hotdog and drank a glass a milk so I could get rid of leftovers. I also talked to my mom for a while and helped her decide what to pack, because we're taking her suitcase down with us so she doesn't have to carry it when she flies alone. She is so excited too! Only nine days for her until she flies down! YAY!

I am sorry to say I have two little fur babies who have NOT been happy with all of my packing today. They know I'm leaving them, and they're not ashamed to let me know how unhappy they are. Here's one giving me the stink eye.

7fee09d4.jpg

Another thing I did today was paint my nails! I went super boring, and just did a cute color that I thought was nice and summery. I'm terrible at painting finger nails, so this is about as fancy as it gets for me.

a5b3a2d9.jpg

And finally, the most important thing I did today- I've watched the Disney episode of Full House about ten times! This is a day-before-Disney tradition for me!

Care to see some higlights of the episode? Oh alright.

And last but not least, Steve after his spill in the GF. Bless him.

So, that's pretty much it for my PTR guys! I'm planning on waking up at about 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning. We have to take our dogs to my mom's house and pick up her suitcase, and we're hoping to be on the road by 8am at the latest! I will be updating pretty regularly on Twitter, so if you don't already follow me, please feel free to! It's @Joni_Russell

Thank you all again for your support and sweet comments! You guys are the best! I promise I will take tons of pictures and really great notes so my next TR will be a good one!

That's all for now...See ya real soon! :earsgirl:

Oh my gosh, I am dying laughing at the hair in your food- not because it is funny but because that is SO me!! I even read it to my husband and said, "Who does that remind you of?"

So funny that you watched the Full House Disney- I personally love the Babysitter's Club book where they go to Disney and even though I am 33, I will still read it every once in awhile. (And I can admit to that because I teach middle school literacy and am allowed to read middle school level books, right? lol!!!)

Have a great trip!! So jealous that you are going tomorrow and I have to wait 40-some more days! :) Can't wait to read your next report and I am following you on twitter, so will check that out!

As always, I loved your trip report! :cool1: Our trips always have a few down sides but they're still great. I hope your upcoming trip is awesome - you'll have a blast showing your Mom around. Enjoy - can't wait to hear about it!

Have fun on your trip!!! I expect Twitter updates =)

I totally agree about Club Cool's floors, it disgusts me when I go in there!

Have a great trip! Although you are probably on your way already!!

I hope you post your new TR link here so I can find it!!

Ahhh, I hate the end of a good trip report! I've enjoyed reading along!

Enjoy your trip and I'll be looking out for the new report! :)
