I just realized that the Snow White ride is not shown on a
map I recently received from Disney World. I have the impression
from this board that it is still there, but why do you suppose Disney
left it off the map? Carousel of Progress is also omitted.

Very odd cause both were there in May. I know there are rumours that they may change these at a later date but I don't know if any of these are true

This is a slightly disturbing find. Has anyone just gotten home from vacation in the last 2 days??

They normally (during the slow season) consider COP "seasonal operation" and as of this next week, it is considered "slow season". So I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Also, I dont see them getting rid of COP considering they just completely refurbed the seating areas in each theatre.

I don't know what map you received, but some maps don't always show all the attractions. Now, if it were an actual park map that is handed out at the gates and those attractions were missing, then I'd be worried.

Was there last weekend & both were running. In fact, SW had a pretty decent line as usual---somewhere around the 30 min wait range.

I did notice the map is a lot smaller so that could be part of it--not enough room to cram everything onto it.

When? I rode this in June and the seats in the theatre were still old and funky.

Don,t know about SW but I do know that CoP was not on the map published in the Birnbaum book as far back as 04. This was a cause of concern for us back then until we got to TL. This is also true about this years book. Can't say again for SW as I am at work and don't have the book with me today. Sooo, I wouldn't worry too much just yet.

Was this the map that comes with the planning video? The booklet/guide with Cinderella on the front that I got with our planning video last year doesn't have SW. Of course, it's still there so it may have been an oversight.

I think there was a thread last year about this so they may just be giving out the same map with the video...

The smaller maps that come with the planning video and the ones you can download off the internet don't have all the attractions in the parks, yet the ones you get inside the park do.

At least the ones my parents brought back from the trip in May had everything.

What map are you looking at?

Yes, that's the one!

I know both attractions are still up and running but........

To tell you the truth if SWSA were to dissappear I don't think you would hear a whole lot of complaints. It's truely a terrible ride, it is not well done and it is way too scary for its core demographic (preschoolers). It is in dire need of replacement. You don't hear too many "I love the Snow White ride!"'s.

On the other hand, if COP were to be shut down, there would be MAJOR backlash. COP was one of Walt's darlings and is very near and dear to many Disney fans, myself included.

Just got back on 8/20 and brought a park map home with me. It shows both Snow's White's Scary Adventures and Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress. Rode COP but did not have a chance to ride Snow White.
