I am glad you were kept safe from the storm, and even though I'm sure you missed your family and they missed you, I'd find it hard to complain about getting extra Disney days.

I would love to stay at POR. I've stayed at POFQ, and I have visited and eaten at POR several times, but I want to spend a night or two there, as well. I would like Alligator Bayou, when I do.

You got two sets of windows. Someone like me appreciates a little thing like that. I like an open feel.

Let's see what kinds of things you did with your extra time!

I didn't realize you were already on the plane when your flight was cancelled!

While not ideal, at least you were stranded at Disney. There are worse places.

Your Riverside pictures were just what I needed this morning to add excitement to my upcoming trip. The landscaping around the Alligator Bayou section is very pretty.

I did miss Ryan & Cody but was glad we did not have to fly into the storm!! Extra Disney days is always a good thing (except on the credit card)!!

I am sure you will get your chance to stay at POR someday. AB section is very nice. More pictures coming.

Yes we went to the airport, went through security & ON the plane. It could have been a lot worse. We could have taken off & then been diverted to some other airport along the way & had to stay there!! It was so surreal to be walking around Disney when we thought we would be home.

so after we got settled into our new room I didn't know what to do!! This was not planned. We were supposed to be almost home by now. I figured we would take the boat to DTD do that is what we did. My camera battery needed to be charged so no pics this night. But around 9:30 we were hungry as Chic FIl A did not fill us up for long. We ended up at T REX. What a great meal we had! Jeff started out with a beer & I had a frozen Mojito. Very good! I also got a souvinier glass to take home!
Then we had the Dexter's Dual Dip which is tortilla chips & 3 dips.
I had a steak & Cheese & Jeff had Pork-a-Saurus Sandwich.

Everything was so good!! The meteor showers are really cool. We could not see them from where we were sitting but saw them from the gift shop.

After that we headed back to POR. I was still in a state of shock that we were there. I was texting a few Dis friends to let them know what was going on & Anita & Brook were posting on my PTR to let everyone know what was happening. Anita was posting "Oh poor Doreen stuck in Disney".

So were were in bed around 11:30 while people in NH were shoveling 8 inches of snow.

Sunday 10/30 we headed to the POR food court for breakfast.

Then we headed back here

We had to try & be good finance wise so we mostly just enjoyed the countries. Of course I said we had to be good but wait until you hear where we had dinner.

My ankles were swelling pretty bad so we went back to POR & to the pool.

I guess that's one reason why you shouldn't take connecting flights - especially in the winter (or mid-fall in this case )! Imagine if you got half way home & go stranded in whatever city your connecting flight was in! Yuck!

I was one of those people stuck in NH shoveling snow! Ok maybe I wasn't shoveling snow.

Did you plan out your extra days? Did you just wing it the whole time or did you come up with a plan?

You guys had APs, right?

I can't wait to hear what you did with all the bonus time!

How AWFUL and DELIGHTFUL to be stuck in Disney Extra days! Its like the worst thing and the best thing all in one!!

I hope you were able to enjoy the extra time despite the stress! Can't wait to read some more!

Yup on the plane!! It would have been lots easier if we were at the resort when we found out we were cancelled but oh well. At least we had not taken off yet.

No we made no plans. We figured these were bonus days & just enjoyed it.
It figured I packed light even with my medications. Some of them I only brought enough for the 3 days so I had to call the doctors but they said where it was only a few more days it would be ok. I learned my lesson with that one. Bring the WHOLE bottle of every med with you.

YES thank goodness we had AP's!! It was bad enough we had to get 3 extra nights at POR, food & 3 more nights with our car at the airport. My credit card was on fire!!

I will make sure next month to pack lots like I usually do but not that trip.

Yes it was awful for the budget but delightful to be there for 2 more days.
It was a little stressful but after booking our flight home and a roof over our heads we were good to go!!

Luckily I was still on medical leave but DH had to call in to work. They understood though as they were getting the snow here.

Yes it was a hurricane , but not in Orlando it was on the East coast . We were on a non stop flight to Buffalo and they were not near the hurricane so we made it out !!

Oh wow. That was good (I think) that you made it out. I remember the first time we went to Disney in 1999 we were on the plane to head home & the skies were BLACK & this huge storm came through so we were delayed for about 20 minutes. I kept praying we would not take off in that storm!!

We decided when we got back to POR that we would do some laundry while at the pool. I usually pack too much but I figured for just 3 nights I would pack light. Little did I know it would be 6 nights!! So while sitting by the pool I was texting Anita & she gave me a great idea which we did on Monday morning. It's coming up..but we enjoyed our time at the pool.

Sunday night we headed back to Epcot. While we were sitting at the pool I made an ADR for Chef's so we headed back to Epcot (again). Some pics as we headed to WS. We decided to stop in Club Cool
