Snow to 80 in 8 days–A spoonful of Holiday Cheer (2/5 update Ch 36 - Final Thoughts)

My three main priorities for this trip were 1) that it be much more relaxed and flexible than our typical trip, 2) that we take in as much of the Christmas shows, decorations and atmosphere as possible, and 3) that we take FULL advantage of the DDP both in getting our $$$’s worth AND taking the opportunity to try some new things instead of the standard choices. The boys understood that they could choose whatever sounded good to them, or they wanted to try for the first time, and they didn’t have to base their decision on helping to keep the cost reasonable since it was prepaid, which is a new concept in our dining habits when we are at Disney. The exception I knew would be Andrew, who seldom eats, or at least finishes, larger meals especially if he knows dessert is waiting……

The banquet was a lot of fun! Around 100 people there at $25/couple. They made some pretty good money on the evening. This was just one of many fundraisers they will do before they leave this summer.

Great reasons to not be on. I have never downloaded any protection for my new netbook, and NEED to!!! I guess I'll go with free AVG.

Since I cannot see wine on the menu, i will say 1 for Ali. The of age boys went with beer.

You ran out of steam at the resort and had an interesting time getting back to Kidani.Since you took the bus your choices were connect through MK or DTD to get to Kidani. Maybe you dipped into DTD for more pictures.

So, about how long do you think each storyteller's presentation lasted? Would it be possible to get them all in during one afternoon? I can't wait to see all this next December - so looking forward to a Christmas season visit!

All the ones we heard were pretty much around 10 minutes long. Would have loved to do more if we had gotten there earlier and didn't have the early ADR to interrupt our touring. The times were offset pretty good, so you could probably see almost all of them if you planned it out first thing with the Times Guide. Poolrat Pat was able to see a few more of them. She talks about it in her current TR.

What a great idea - to get you and the boys separate rooms. The last few times I took my boys we ended up staying in 2BRs which really eat up the points. My son my oldest will be 18. I think that allows him to stay alone.
You got a really nice location and view of the pool. I think the standard views at Kidani are a great use of points (because I am always point poor).

Right now anyway I would rather view the animals in other ways and save the points for longer trips! Better check on the age though. I think they have to be 21.

I loved your pictures in the world showcase. You got so many great up close details and I really enjoyed seeing the story tellers. It makes me want to go back for Christmas in the near future.

I am naughty!! But I finally figured out what's been going on lately. My silly gall bladder is what's been acting up, and I swear (NO LIE) I almost ended up in ER last night. Remember that fever, back pain, etc.... yeah, rotten gall bladder. I will call tom. for appt.
