Snow to 80 in 8 days–A spoonful of Holiday Cheer (2/5 update Ch 36 - Final Thoughts)

Okay, I know some of you have been wondering where I've been lately, and why I never got around to posting that update I promised. Well, now that the secret is out, I guess I can spill the beans.

Well I have known for a while that a number of my DIS friends I have never met would be at Disney this week. I thought a while back it would be great to get to meet Magdalene (Flossbolna) and Katharina (nodnol) while they were here from Germany. Don't get that chance very often. I have been in touch with them for a while, still having to wait until the last minute almost to be able to take the time off and take a short trip.

In the mean time, I also knew that Rosie (EnglishRose) was going to be at Disney at the same time, but I didn't want her to know anything about it. I knew she had some unsavory plans for her trip, involving her Wooden Marv. Well, I couldn't possibly let her get away with that one so.........

I worked it out where DS19 Jonathan (who is on fall break) and I could make a quick, "secret" trip to Disney for a few days. More details later but we have spent some time with Magdalene and Katharina, AND tonight I tracked down Rosie in DTD and confronted her with my own wooden spoon!

Also last night Jonathan and I went to The House of Blues and got to meet a number of other DIS posters, and hear an amazing young 13yo lady do an awesome job on stage playing her electric guitar with her Dad backing her up. Blessedmomof4 (Judy) and her family were on their daughter Lisa's Wish Trip and "big sister" Rachel got to play the HoB! Also got to meet mommy2mrb (Lisa) and her daughter Megan. Lisa kept me updated with the HoB's plans so I could work it out to attend. There were other DISers there I will tell about later, but it was an amazing time and I met a lot of really GREAT people last night. We managed to get some group pictures on the stage I can't wait to upload and post when I get back home!

Looking forward to some "light reading" as I get to know you...of course, now I feel as if you are a new dear friend! AND you live so close to us as well, state neighbor! Hi, Marv! I was disappointed to see I had missed the last contest round, but I have a personal policy of staying off the computer while at Disney World. I guess I like to forget the real world as much as possible while I'm there. Any way, your secret trip sounds fabulous! I'd love to read that TR, but I'm not going to be holding my breath.

Ok, how HOW did you manage a super stealth trip?!?! That is so wonderful and fun! What a fabulous idea! Wow, I just know you'd have made all that effort if I was going to be at Disney, right Marv? Right? Hello?? Sigh, maybe I don't want to know the answer to that.
