So the Tshirts from the previous posts I was very excited about. I love retro Mickey Mouse, and I really wanted the Disco T... the Hawaiian Mickey was fun and appropriate for summer! So I am all ready to wear it this June!
The beach towel was too fun, and because I decided we needed a few new ones, I went with that design.
Next I have a set of shirts I bought the boys... I have been going back and forth on this shirt for several trips in the past year. I like them because they are the classic design, and I like the heathered color... with the 20% off it was a no brainer!
This next item was again a fun summer-minded purchase. With the new movie coming out, we loved the design and the holographic finish.
Pins traded this trip! These are for DS4 -- he swapped out a pooh bear and a goofy pin.
This new pin is the Mickey Mouse hat... The "goat" is a trade from a few trips ago
My kids have a sad obsession with Nightmare before Christmas. Sad because they know all of the lyrics to all of the songs, complete with appropriate character voice changes... We have the original CD, the Special Edition Boxed set movie with extras, a book, and now, this CD version...
This CD has remixes and covers by some well-known artists. This is an important purchase for reasons you will learn about, soon.
LAST on the list we have the popcorn buckets (we bought two) with the Muppets GAD theme, and the remaining dipped marshmallow sticks! These were chocolate dipped with cookie crumbs... They had m&m rolled sticks too, but these were the last to be eaten!
AND that is it!
I know I come no were close to WigD's shopping sprees, but normally I am too busy to shop a lot. This time, the AP discount made it a must...
Try that logic on for size!!!
Obviously this was an amazing opportunity for us. It just worked out. I am very fortunate that we were able to take advantage of the unexpected snow, and that both DH and I also had the week off. It couldn't have happened otherwise. So the historic snow fall gave us a memory making trip to the Happiest Place on Earth... I have really only ONE person I can say made this possible...
He is definitely a keeper
I will say that not doing the DDP was a new twist for us -- but we had the TIW card, and I think we really made use of it. It was nice to explore the menu the way we wanted. I still intend to go with the DDP for the summer trip, but only the Basic. Again because the TIW card helps with any additional menu items as well as the drinks, we will get our use out of that. AND since we have had time to use it all year, we have certainly saved more than the $75.00 we paid for it.
I am totally in love with the AKL...
if I have a chance to stay there again, I will put it at the top of my list. I really enjoyed the vibe there. I would love to see it in the summer or fall. I was always thinking that after BLT I won't want to stay anywhere else, but now I am not so sure!
JIKO and San Angels were two highlights of this trip to be sure. As was Fantasmic. I am so glad we tried these restaurants out! Of course the most important event on the trip was my DS7's maiden voyage on the "best rollercoaster at Disney"... He can't wait to go back for that alone! LITTLE does he know...
Anyhow, if you can believe it, less than two weeks after we returned, my DH and I packed up and headed BACK to Orlando for a Disney Cruise. This was already planned and paid for -- it was really quite reasonable! -- and my DMIL took care of the boys at our house while we were gone... they had to go to school ...
So if you enjoyed reading along, know that I am revving up to do two things this weekend! Load my Cruise photos (actually I just did
) and second, start my WONDERful getaway TR... Gee I feel like Samantha Brown
laughing
NOT.
Anyhow, I hope you will come and join me!!!!
