Well dis folks, I thought I would share this. We got snow last night. My family lives about an hour north of San Diego and this morning we woke to find a large amount of snow! It covered the car in a good layer and now at almost 10:30 its still covering quite a bit. (and it is coooooold..brrr). See if I can upload a pic later.

The hills are all white. My dd had a good time playing in it this morning. What a hoot!

Go to photobucket.com and upload the picture there. Then you can just insert the link in this thread

I moved this thread over to the Disneyland Community forum, as it's not really related to Disneyland trip planning (which is what the main DLR forum is for) -- and, also, I'm afraid that if someone just happens to glance at the thread without really paying attention to what you typed, they may assume that it's snowing in Anaheim, or in all of SoCal. Lots of people don't pay close attention

I'm in L.A. -- and it is nice and crisp outside (just the way I like it!), but there is no snow, sadly. Even when it has been colder than this, we have never had snow where I live. I would be thrilled beyond imagination if I got the snow that you got, HappiestHaunt! I would probably be out, rolling around in it, until it melted.

oops sorry about that Sherry! :) Yes we played for a couple of hours (we have been up since 6 with it.) It is something to behold..so much in so cal..just something else!

The last time it snowed in Anaheim CA was January 1949. I was there.
Here is me in my front yard on HARBOR Blvd (then called Palm) near the future Disneyland site.

Like Kristoff, I am holding my snowman's head....

I am a so cal native (from the San Fernando valley). I have only lived in the IE for about 8 years and this is a first in that time for us. Something to behold, especially when we normally have to go up to like Big Bear and the likes to see it. lol.

Oh wow! ^^^^ That's an amazing photo, Disneyland 1951. I can't believe that Anaheim had a brief moment of being a Winter Wonderland!

HappiestHaunt appears to have gotten at least the same amount of snow -- probably much more! -- as what is currently at Olaf's Snow Fest!

Over the years, the snow has teased us here in the general L.A. basin. It has gotten as close as Malibu and some areas of the San Fernando Valley, but it has never -- at least, not in my lifetime -- ventured far enough inland to cover my area of town. Not even for a couple of hours. It's so disappointing. Just once in my life I would love to wake up and see one of the jovial, overly-tanned weather people on the news refer to it as "Snow Cal" instead of "SoCal." (You know they are just itching to use that term, but are waiting for the right time!:rotfl2:)

I honestly think that I wouldn't know what to do first if I saw a decent amount of still-intact snow on the ground. I would be so excited, but afraid that it was going to melt in seconds, as soon as the harsh sun came out. I would grab the camera -- that much is certain -- but my instinct would also be to do expected things, like roll around and try to make pitiful snow angels, lopsided snowmen and whatever other snow masterpieces I could manage in a short amount of time. I couldn't really take decent photos while wallowing in the snow, so I would have a tough decision to make!:rotfl2:

Your so right, I looked out the window and saw a snow covered wonderland. I think my jaw dropped open since it was such a sight. I went and woke up my hubby and daughter, because I was unsure how long it would last (still going strong now). Somethings are worth getting up early for  and this is definitely one of them. What a way to end the year on a bang!

I was just looking at the Fox 11 Facebook page, and under their post about the snow in the Inland Empire a lot of people posted photos of what they saw. It really is amazing -- it doesn't even look like 'just barely there' snow. It looks like a healthy blanket of snow on all the rooftops, plants, driveways, and everywhere. People managed to craft some pretty large snowmen out of the snow. Some people were sledding. It didn't even seem like the photos were from SoCal. I want snow too!:hyper:

There seems to be some crazy weather in assorted SoCal cities this week.

I was just reading that 2 people died overnight on Catalina Island due to a wind/storm-related accident. One of them was a Harbor Patrol officer.

And 4 people were just injured today, after a "freak wind event" at the Rose Bowl.

Oh Sherry that is awful to hear. What seems like so much fun can have a dark side as well with the cold. It is getting really cold again tonight as well.

Butterflykisses77-I live in Lake Elsinore and I think it snowed in Marietta and Temecula as well. We just returned from the store and our hillsides are still white and spots where the sun did not reach have snow here and there all over the lake. It is an odd site. I was joking with my daughter that maybe we should have asked Elsa when she visited to not let it snow so much ;)

I hope that this weird weather has calmed down and everyone there can have a safe and happy new year at the Happiest Place on Earth
