SNOW fall????

Staten Island here. Definitely more than a foot (more or less can't tell with the wind - some areas are higher).

It's beautiful but would rather not have it - too much of a mess, dangerous driving and gotta worry about my parent's sidewalk and the in-laws too.

I'm in MD, it's finally stopped and we got 24". It's the most Maryland has ever seen in December since recorded history!

Our kids are scheduled to still go to school M,T,and W. It will be interesting to see if that happens. The plow hasn't even come through my neighborhood yet.

Another Marylander. We are 20 min above balto. We were close to 24" last night about an hour before it stopped.

Mickeyluver--I'm with you. I think the Christmas break will be extended too! They probably could've been back to school by Wednesday, but that seems really goofy to go for one day. Of course what do I know...I thought it was lame that they had to go through the 23rd in the first place.

I'm just outside Richmond, VA. Snow started here Friday evening and lasted most of the day Saturday, off and on. We have a foot, if not a little more.

and the storm is over for us..we topped out at just a little over a foot...no blowing winds yet..so it's calm..now the cleanup begins..everyone..stay safe in the storms..please!

Toronto, Canada here and we have NO snow:confused3
I look at all the pretty pictures here and I sure hope we get some for Christmas....everyone stay safe!!

I'm in Carroll County, Maryland and we got about 24 inches. Our largest concern was getting out and getting to the Ravens game this evening. My DH and sons have tickets to the game. Well, our driveway is dug out and finally a snow plow down our street, so my guys are all set and hopefully make it down to the stadium without any problems.

GO RAVENS!!

I'm about 90 minutes North of NYC and we got an inch. We were supposed to get 8-12.

NNJ checking in again. We have a foot, maybe a little more. My DH cleaned out the driveway and the plows have been by so we are good to go. (no salt trucks tho...)

NE Philly here. We got 22.5 inches here. My neighbors are busy burying out and blowing all the snow my way. I am hoping my DH will be able to dig out when he gets home. I am more afraid of tomorrow when I have to take my DGD to school and DD to work. We don't get any side roads plowed around here and my DD's st is tough to drive when it isn't snow covered. Narrow one lane st. My other DD's boyfriend worked 27 hours since yesterday morning doing private plowing. He will be back out today after a couple of hours sleep.

Catonsville, Md(suburb of Baltimore) and we got 21 inches. :scared1: We have lived here our whole life, hate it and really want to move south!!:lmao:

WOW! Some of those snowfall amounts are pretty impressive, even for a gal who grew up here in Western Mass. We totally lucked out here by the Mass/VT/NH border - didn't get a snowflake! Woo-Hoo! Can you tell I don't like snow......

I think we ended up with 20-24" in my area of S. Jersey.

I can say when I walked outside to shovel- it was up to my thighs. If I walked into the drifts (but why would I?) It would have been up to my chest!:scared1: I could have gone missing for days if I stepped into one of them :lmao:

We have a concert tonight in Philly- I am pretty sure it is still a "go"

Thank God for global warming, otherwise it might have snowed all the way down in Georgia and Alabama too.

Bowie, Maryland. The sidewalks are cleared and the cars are dug out. 20 inches of snow here.

NYC 11 inches. DH dug out the cars, driveway and made a path in the yard for the doggie. Snow plow came by and the sun is shining. My front walkway is dry and my dog is enjoying the warm sun coming through my storm door.

Just a fun "burying out from under the snow" story-

I was looking out the window on and off at the neighbors across the street. I see they are both UNDER their SUV trying to shovel etc etc. I was wondering what in the world are they doing? Why are they under their car? Finally, DH goes over to see what's up? They say their SUV is stuck and they cannot get it out. So, DH starts pushing and rocking the SUV and it is not moving? DH said he kept asking the guy if he was in 4WD- his answer, "yes", so DH continues to try and push and nothing is happening.

DH said, "somethng is not right!" He THEN asked the guy, "DO YOU HAVE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON??" ummmmm- yes he DID! Pops the brake and in seconds the SUV moves. :rolleyes1
