SNOW fall????

Just wondering who is being hit with the snow. Where are you located? I am in massachusetts and the snow is JUST starting to fall. How bad is it where u are? We are expecting 16inches.

In NJ, about 20 miles west of Manhattan. It started around 1:30 but it was very light for quite a while. It didn't start to get bad until 6ish. It almost 11 now and we have probably 8 inches. We are expecting a foot. Which is 12 inches more than I wanted! LOL.

Long Island and we are getting absolutely slammed! 18 - 24" is expected. I'm really hoping the total is less than that. The wind is creating major drifts around here. We leave Monday for Florida...if we can dig ourselves out.

about 20 miles MW of Philadelphia-we have about 12 inches on the ground and it is supposed to snow all night....I think we are supposed to get 18"...but worse than that it is really cold....single digit wind chills

We live in SW Va and we've ended up with almost 24 ins. EVERYTHING is shut down here and nobody has any power. My husband drove his 4wheeler to work this morning because the roads are inpassable. I look for everything to be down for awhile.

I'm in MD, it's finally stopped and we got 24". It's the most Maryland has ever seen in December since recorded history!

Our kids are scheduled to still go to school M,T,and W. It will be interesting to see if that happens. The plow hasn't even come through my neighborhood yet.

In the past when we would hear snow was on the way, we would always see the salt trucks ready to go. I did not see any this time. And, the trucks would be plowing the streets to keep up with the snow, not today! This is odd? The streets are horrible.

Nyc here, actually i drove home from new jersey about noon today. Jersey was a mess, we saw at least 7 spin outs and cars off the road into guard rails and another 3 or 4 bad accidents. I did'nt break 35 mph on the garden state( 65 mph speed limit) and even then i felt like i was slipping all over the road and going too fast. I made it home in Brooklyn at about 5pm and it was already snowing here with about an inch down. As of right now close to midnight i'd say we got around 8-10 inches down here and its still comming down very heavy with predictions of 1-2 inches an hour until 4 am. Stay dry, stay warm and stay home if you can all.

I am just slightly SW of Baltimore and at 4:15 today I measured 18inches on our back deck, not sure what the official amount for our area was yet. I missed the 11 news, I was watching the Saints game.

We were in a band of blizzard warning for most of the day.

I'm in Ocean County NJ 1.5 miles inland, were getting hit real hard already have 20inches. Just heard on the news the tailend is still in Maryland, also that the shoreline of Ocean & Monmouth Counties were going to be hit the hardest

Not trying to be creepy, but what part of Brooklyn are you from? I'm from Dyker Heights and got about 10inches at the moment. My front door can't open! My friend who lives in another part of Brooklyn took pictures and it looks as though she only got about 5 inches.

SW PA reporting in here. We got the western edge of the storm with about 6 inches. Hoping it stays cold with off and on snow showers all week so we can have a white christmas for the firest time in years.

We're still have school scheduled for Mon-Wed. this week....I'm thinking it may be cancelled.

We were forecasted to have 3-6 here in central KY, we got less than a half inch.

I'm in Northern KY, we got very little (maybe an inch) However, my oldest dd is in NYC, was originally supposed to fly home Sat. evening. Now it looks like MAYBE Monday evening, if she's lucky. Not sure what she'll do in the meantime, sleep in the airport I guess???


I HATE snow.....
