Snow Days....Smow Days! I AM BACK 6/12

That's about the extent of my packing. Chaos in a few random bags. I've started packing for the girls, putting outfits in ziplock bags that are labeled for which day they're wearing them, but that's not finished yet because while they do have a lot of clothes, they don't have enough shorts to pack everything 2 weeks out. Feel free to use my list! it was adapted from a list I found on here (either the tip boards or the family boards), and then I added things as I read them here. I don't think you'll forget anything if you use my list!

You know I will definitely use your list. :thumbsup2 Now if I can just stop procrastinating and get going with it. :rolleyes1 I may have to take a pic of my chaos in a basket.

Under 2 weeks to go - yay!!! I feel the same way as you on our last day in Disney. My DH is sad to go back to "the real world" too, but he tells me I always act as if this is the last time we are ever going to be at Disney, haha. Hopefully since you are going to the beach right after Disney that will make it a little easier to go. A 2 week vacation sounds awesome! I hope you have a great time and I can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes
You will be there by the end of the week! Have a fabulous time and remember to take lots of pics so I can feel as if I vacationed with you. :rotfl: popcorn::

:cool1::banana::yay:

You're trip is really getting close now.
I know what you mean about leaving WDW, it is so sad. I was upset when we left the last time, but with a 4 day trip to get home we were still on vacation so we had a buffer before getting back into the 'real world', which helped a bit.

sahm2two...I love the idea of ziploc bags with clothes for certain days, that would work well for my boys I do believe. I think I'll give it a try

I definitely think a "buffer" will help to aleve some of the sadness.

sahm2two is much more organized than I am. She has actually started packing. Hooray! :woohoo: I would love to be organized enough to plan out outfits each day. We usually just wake up and hussle to find something to wear. I just may try the ziplock thing this time and see if we can get to the parks a little faster in the morning.

I totally do this! I place the kids clothes into large ziplocs by outfit and label them by park - so they match whatever park they are visiting.

AAAHHH! To be so organized. I definitely didn't inherit the organizing gene. :sad2: I may attempt this, though....just maybe. :rolleyes1

TK, I absolutely LOVE LOVE the pictures!

I don't think I could get DS on Space Mtn. DD rode last year, but I was worried about her as well, since she would be sitting in front of me. I like to verify she's restrained properly, and I wasn't able to do that. I know I looked like a crazy mom asking the CM's "Is she secured??!! Are you sure??!! ARE YOU POSITIVE?!?!?!?!" I was afraid she'd fall out and I'd never know!

DS is not a very adventurous rider ... but DD is my coaster buddy. It took her doing the simulator at DQ to get her on a coaster, but it was well worth it.

I feel the exact same way. It is so dark in there he could just freak out and some how get out of the restraints, fall and I would never even know it. I will have to make sure to tell him to stay seated at all times and do not try crawling out of the ride while it is in motion. :scared1:

Where is the DQ at? DTD?

In your 2009 pic, Jay looks soooo mad. I just love it! :lovestruc And when he went out, all the drool, how cute!!!! This one needs to be framed and hung so when he grows up, all his friends (and girlfriends) will see it. :rotfl: Yes, I'm horrible and a bad influence.

He does look a little peeved to be leaving, doesn't he? :lmao:
The drool is because at that time he was only 3 and he was still using a binky while we were traveling. I think it fell out of his mouth and I snapped the pic. You are right, I should keep that pic and blow it up to poster size and show all potential girlfriends when he is about 16......:rotfl2:

Not looking forward to our trips to be over with, but looking forward to your TR! You have to at least appease me a little bith with FB updates!

I so don't want this trip to be over. I have been looking forward to it for such a long time. I will be depressed when we get back, but I can always re-live it all in my TR! :goodvibes I will definitely try the FB thing while in the park. I sure hope it works!

I have to agree with everyone else that the pic of your DS with the drool hanging from him mouth is just priceless.

I definatly use the ziplock baggie system to pack my sons cloths. Since my cloths are to big to put in them, I pack the shirt with the pair of shorts I want to wear them with. That way I don't have to think about it when I am at Disney World.

I guess I am lucky that Liam small for his age. Since he still fits in his shorts from last year I was able to buy just a couple and were able to pack them for our trip with out having to worry about him needing them later. I bought new underwear and socks for him so I could pack them to. (you never have enough of them)

I never did the ziplock style packing. Every morning Hubs, the kids and I stand around scratching our heads on what to wear. That is probably the reason we can never make Rope Drop. :sad2:

I don't even pack my outfits like that ... and I stand there every morning while at WDW going "What should I wear today, honey?" I'm just as bad there as I am at home.

I also bought new undies & socks. DD definitely needed them, but DS was still okay. But it was nice to be able to pack and forget about them and not have to worry about laundry at the last minute.

That sounds like me and every other member of my family. :sad2:

Yep, new socks and undies for everyone....you can never have too many and can really cut down on doing laundry. :woohoo:

Your kiddos sleeping on the ride home is hilarious. And, you have future "black mail" material, too! Ha!

We'll be at the MK on June 3rd, too. We have a Wishes dessert party ressie, and then we plan on staying for EMH that night (morning is devoted to AK and the Wild Africa Trek, then nap time, then arrive at MK after dinner for dessert party and EMH).

I can't believe we only have 11 days!!!!!

DS is so little right now that he doesn't care about that pic. By his teenage years, he will want to kill me if I pull out to show his friends. :rotfl2: Perfect black mail material!!!! :lmao:

Your plans sound like so much fun. I was unaware of the Wishes dessert party. How do you sign up for that? Sounds delish!

The time is growing near for you WDW vacation! So exciting. :woohoo:

AAAHHH! To be so organized. I definitely didn't inherit the organizing gene. :sad2: I may attempt this, though....just maybe. :rolleyes1

I don't claim I'm organized ... I just get OCD about things. :lmao: It really did help. Especially since DH is usually in charge of getting the kids ready of the AMs while I was still showering and fixing my hair.

I feel the exact same way. It is so dark in there he could just freak out and some how get out of the restraints, fall and I would never even know it. I will have to make sure to tell him to stay seated at all times and do not try crawling out of the ride while it is in motion. :scared1:

Where is the DQ at? DTD?

DQ is at DTD. We had a blast with it last year. We did the WPF&M option, so we opted for a DTD trip on arrival day. It let me work with DD on understanding that coasters aren't scary, they're fun. (Okay, so I know people do find them scary, and that's cool - but I wanted her to experience one with a STOP button handy.)

DS will ride BTMRR, but only because he thinks its really a train. :lmao: Maybe if I tell him he can ride a rocket ship, he'll ride Space? But I do worry that he won't be okay with the dark. We'll just wait and see.

He does look a little peeved to be leaving, doesn't he? :lmao:

Awwww! I bet he looked precious with a binky! :cloud9: I'm sure his girlfriends will  the picture!

I'm hoping it works too! I'll let you know my FB experience for sure. :thumbsup2 When are you going to start your TR? At the beach or afterwards?

I never did the ziplock style packing. Every morning Hubs, the kids and I stand around scratching our heads on what to wear. That is probably the reason we can never make Rope Drop. :sad2:

This is my problem. Granted, I allow myself 45 minutes to decide what to wear in my morning routine so I can make it on time. :rotfl:

That sounds like me and every other member of my family. :sad2:

Yep, new socks and undies for everyone....you can never have too many and can really cut down on doing laundry. :woohoo:

I agree 100%! :woohoo: Plus, it let me get the kids packed and they aren't missing anything important. :yay:

See above in red. Because I'm lazy today. And sleepy. :rotfl:

Glad the kids haven't caught on, yet. :lmao: It will make the surprise much more fun!

As for the TR, I think I will probably start on it once I get back. That reminds me, I need to buy a journal. :thumbsup2

So here is the extent of my packing so far. I really need to get on the ball.

New haircuts for the kiddos.

Kay got 4" cut off. She wanted a shorter "do" for Disney.

Jay's shorter cut.

I see you are packed and ready to leave any minute now! :thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Totally love the kids cuts! :goodvibes

And I'm just realizing how much our DD's look alike. CREEEEEPY! :rotfl::laughing:

Your packing looks like mine! I hope to accomplish much this weekend!!

Great haircuts...we all have done the same!! :goodvibes

Great haircuts! Your "packing" stresses me out for you :lmao: I'm about 75% packed, I would say I'm 90% packed with stuff that doesn't have to be packed the night before or day of. I'll still manage to be stressed the day before :headache:

I will just load my basket into the trunk and I am out of here......:lmao:

The kids look a little more manicured now, not so Shaggy-like.

As for our daughters looking similiar, I think we may be related some how. We have way too much in common. ;)

Have a great time at the wedding tomorrow and then you are off to Disney. Have a safe and wonderful trip. Have the camera ready for when you get near the Disney signs....:woohoo:

I am definitely going to be working on packing this weekend and sorting through this mess.

Thanks for the compliment on the haircuts. I am so excited to go to the salon tomorrow to get my hair trimmed and foiled. I am way past due for it. :cool1:

Thanks!!!
My packing is STRESSING me out! I am pulling out the suitcases tomorrow and really going to try to get organized.
YAY! For being 75% packed. :cheer2: That is great and sooo much better than where I am at the present moment.

it really only took me a night and an afternoon to get most of my packing done, so don't stress too much! I thought it would take a lot longer, but I was able to do it while the kids weren't around :lmao:

SISTER! I knew I had another one out there. :lmao::rotfl2: Three wasn't enough for me. :p

Even if the kids were shaggy-like,they were still adorable!

The wedding was BEAUTIFUL! It was supposed to rain, and I kept waiting for the skies to open up on us, but the clouds moved out just as the bride took her first steps down the garden path. :cloud9:

We leave in roughly 5 hours. I can't stand it!!! :goodvibes Will do my best to get video/pics of the kids as we hit the signs!!!!

We are getting so close now, I can smell it. Mainstreet Bakery to be exact. You will notice that Disney has its own fantastic smell. I have lost my mind and am soooooo giddy to begin this vacation. 2 days! :woohoo:
I am happy to report that I have my packing done and the kiddos, too. I am just waiting on DH to get busy.

As for my response to Lidian's post: I cannot wait to read your TR and see the videos of the kiddos first glimpes of the WDW signs. :cool1:

We will be leaving, hopefully, by 3am on Saturday.
I have completed my portion of the packing for myself and the kiddos. Still need to do some cleaning. I do not like coming home from an awesome vacation to a messy house. :sad2: Talk about DEPRESSING!!!

Tomorrow is DS's last day of preschool (his real last day is June 3rd because of all the snow days ). He only goes 2.5 hours in the AM. We are pulling him out on Friday because we have a lot of last minute things to do and also pick up the rental car. Poor lil' guy will miss his graduation, but I think he will have more fun in Disney!!!! :wizard:

DD's last day will be Friday (actual last day is really June 6th)

Have to pack up the dogs and all their supplies and bring them over to my sister's house, finish packing up, sleep for a bit and then will be off on our journey. We plan on driving 13 hours to Valdosta, GA and then staying there over night. We will hopefully be back on the road by 8am to arrive to The World by noon.

I am soooo ready to get this vacation started!!!! My mind is already there! :goodvibes

yeah for your trip being almost here! We had a great time at CBR and hope you do too!

Yea for leaving on your trip in 2 days and being in the World in 3.:banana:
I am so excited to get this vacation started. I don't know about you but I am practicly jumping out of my skin.
I am so glad that you got you and the kiddos packing done, now tell that DH of your to snap to it:lmao:
I just wanted to tell you before we both leave (I know we are going to be busy the next couple of days) that I am glad we found each other on the DIS and it has been great planning our vacations together.:thumbsup2

I am sure I will love CBR. I was getting a little nervous over the negativity of the pirate rooms (on DISunplugged) and the thin little mattress and how far the theme rooms are from everything else in the resort. We stayed at POFQ last year and it is a pretty small resort, so I think we may be spoiled. I did hear that it is a beautiful resort and the pools are awesome. I will divulge everything in my TR. :lmao: Thanks for the well wishes!! I am getting sooooo excited! :goodvibes

It has been so wonderful meeting you through the DIS and cannot wait to meet in person at Epcot. :wizard: And we will definitely continue to be friends through our TR....:goodvibes: I am so excited to read yours!!!

You and Liam have a FABULOUS trip and be safe!!!

Whooohooo! for leaving tomorrow. I saw your post about going to the fountains. Not sure what that is, but it sounds fun!
Small world that we will both be in Valdosta. We stayed there last time we went to Disney in '09 and it seemed like a very nice place. That is why we picked to stay there again for this trip.
Have a wonderful time at your family reunion and Disney and have safe travels!!! I am really looking forward to your TR to see how your sweet lil' girls liked it. :thumbsup2

long story, but we're not staying in valdosta anymore... gonna go post on my PTR before I go to bed. The fountains is a little spray park type of thing in town, it's free and wet :)
