We weren't able to do the oven/flip flop experience yesterday. I am hopeful for today, though!
It is such a drag with this heel issue. I don't want anything to get in the way of my MAGIC at Disney.

We will just have to figure out out how to meet.The plan is to make the rope drop, but I am not going to force it if we are both tierd. But being that DHS is one of Liam's fav's we will have to make a good effort.
I have no problem PMing you my phone # so it would be easier to meet at the park. I finally go texting (I know, I know, finally out of the stone ages.) I definalty want a picture. We only had one DISmeet during our Wish Trip, and that was one of my favorite memories.

A Little confused. Just went back to look at your plan and we have the first 3 days the same (well 2 1/2 because that first day is arrival day)?

Thank you guys for making me feel young. Okay, so I don't really feel young, but I have been texting for so many years, its a natural instinct for me. DH asks what our friends are into it (meaning call them) and I reply with, "I don't know, lemme text them and see!" It's my first line of communication. I'd be lost without a good texting plan. Outside of businesses and my parents (well, I don't text DH because he hasn't figured it out yet himself), I text the rest of my contacts instead of calling them.

Mrs. Lidian, I would LOVE to meet with you someday, too. Hopefully, we will go to WDW at the same time in the future!

You never know what will happen! And who knows, you may have some free time on your next visit to the Smokies!

Had DD paint my nails tonight. She did a GREAT job!.... ( looks a little rough just between us) I will get a picture posted soon of my flip flops with my glamorus new shade of toe nail polish. The shoes don't actually feel any different after I molded my foot to them. Funny lil' Jay wanted to put his foot in them after I removed them from the oven. I just laughed and told him then it would be molded to his lil' foot and he would have to wear them.....

Awww, I can't wait to see how great of a job DD did on your toes! Maybe next week I'll have DD paint mine for me. She's been busy with her room, so I haven't bothered her - and I haven't had the heart to really break out the flip flops yet. I'm still grabbing a sweater when I walk out the door ... so ... hopefully it'll get warmer and stick!

I'm guessing Jay didn't like the thought of being stuck with your shoes.

And I said it before and I'll say it again. We're geeks in this family! DH bought me a I <3 Geeks shirt for Valentine's Day in 2006. It was the best and worst gift at the same time. It was only "worst" in the sense that I was pregnant with DS, and even if I hadn't been, I don't wear XS.

I still think you need to invest in a tracking chip for your mouse. Have you considered switching to a corded one? (Do they even make them anymore? ) It might make it harder for it to grow legs and walk off. Did you pull out the spot light and Good Cop/Bad Cop Kay and Jay?

I'd totally teach you how to text. On second thought, I'll have my DD teach Kay and then Kay can teach you. It'll give us moms more mom time that way.

I think I might have to join the Texting course as well (hey never been to the smokies and it looks beutiful.) I think I am getting into the hang of texting, it helps that my new phone has a full keyboard. I definatly now where the keys are when they are laid out like a computer keyboard. (Am I on here to much?) Now my main problem is figuring out the lingo, but than I am still trying to figure out some of the shorthand here. You don't want to know how long it took me to figure out KTTW meant.

I would suggest us trading #'s with Lidian, but I can just imagine us three just texting back and forth about Disney. Oh wait, is that a bad thing???

You're more than welcome to join Texters 101 and Texters 102: Advanced Texting with us. The Smokies is a beautiful place! I've tried to get out of the area multiple times and I've always ended up back. So there goes my hopes of living next to the Mouse ... Oh well!

You can PM me your list of lingo abbrevs and I'll spell it out for you. Some of the abbrevs here take some learning. I've had to look up some before and then forgot what it meant the next time I saw it.

The 50s Prime Time LOOKS awesome, but I'm still nervous, I absolutely hate having attention on me. I think we should have stuck with the Sci-Fi! lol

This was the second PTR that I seen photos of personalized t-shirts, I would love to do this, where to you get, order, make, the iron on transfers?!

Oh my goodness I just had 4 pages to catch up on!! I am so very behind on PTRs/TRs!! You had me so scared on the T-Rex because I still need to make that reservation for us! I was going to ask if you called direct or not (because that is the way to go!) but then somebody else mentioned it...you did it....and I could breathe....now I just need to call for ours!!

I am not a sneaker girl at all. I always wear flip-flops in the parks and Tevas mush are awesome! My feet hardly bothered me at all!

You will have such a fabulous time at 50's PTC. Remember every one will be harrassed which adds to the magic and it is all done in fun. The memories will last a lifetime for a little embarrassment at the cafe. I try to see it more like a comedy show and the waitress/waiters are just acting the part. Sci-Fi is pretty neat, too, if you like a more low key dining experience.

I haven't attempted any shirts yet. A few people had shared their creations with me. They do look pretty cool and I think they have a thread that you can download transfers. I will ask some of them and get back to you about it. :

I just googled the Tevas Mush shoes and they are AWESOME! They look super cool and comfy.

They are Montrail flip flops. They have directions to heat them at 225 degrees for 3 minutes and then stand in them right out of the oven for 2 minutes so they can mold to your feet. They are for people that have foot problems. Have you ever seen a flip flop with arch support? I will post a picture soon, so you can see what I am talking about. I may have to warm mine up again, though, because they didn't seem to mold the first time.

This will be our first 50's PTC visit (after having to youtube videos and convince DH that its all in GOOD fun). I'm looking forward to the antics, and really hoping we have a great server who wants to play that night!

Have that camcorder rolling at all times and ENJOY your meal ... even if you have to go sit in time out. (Hey, its a break from the kids and/or DH, right? )
