Happy to be staying home today. Couldn't imagine having
to drive a big bus through all this snow and ice-let alone
worrying about the kids waiting for me to get there.
Another one tomorrow would be perfect-lol!

Looks like we'll miss this storm- suits me just fine- I'm ready for spring!!! Enjoy your day at home!:sunny:

I woke up at 5am (my usual time) to find out that they had already cancelled school for us! YEAH!!! I told both kids. DD13 just rolled over and thanked the Lord for the extra sleep. DS11 told me to wake him at 7am (when the sun is up) so that he can get the most out of the day.

We're snowed in here as well. Drove through it on the way home from a weekend in Cleveland. We could not get our car up to our house so we had to hike up the hill. Glad we did not get stuck on the highway though. I am sure it will take all I have to keep my son in--he has a sore throat and cold.

We HAVE school today!
For some reason the schools around us are closed or at least have a delay but we are open!!!

That means I will have to shove the driveway to take DS to preschool later this morning!
DH had shoved before he left for work this morning but those darn plows came back & left a lovely snowdrift in front of the driveway

VCU (where I go to college) is closed today.

No snow here yet - but according to the weatherman:rolleyes: we should get hit tonight and tomorrow.

School was delayed for 2 hours here. More sleep, yay.

My school delayed at 6, as did my kids school, which meant another 2 hours of sleep for all. Then at 8 I discovered my school was CLOSED!! Finally a snow day! And the topper is my kids HAVE SCHOOL!! DD#1 is already gone and DD#2 gets the bus at 10:30.
It's not a day of leisure though, DS is in afternoon kindergarten and on these schedules he only goes from 2-3:30, so I won't be able to take the nap of my dreams, but I may take him out to lunch!
Actually the "winter storm" really crapped out here, only 1" of snow. All the weather forecasters who were calling for doom and gloom are now saying the "dry air from Canada kept our snow from falling to the ground". But it's so windy that the roads out in the country are drifting over, and the district where I work is more rural than where I live. Now they are also saying tomorrow afternoon we will get more--"depends on the storm track"--I don't believe a word of it anymore.

No school today for DS due to a water problem at the school.

:D He's very happy and already went back to bed.

If I had to guess, I bet our kids won't go back until at least Thursday. We got 3-5 inches of snow & sleet yesterday and this afternoon and tonight are expecting 1/4-1/2" of freezing rain. I can handle snow & sleet, but freezing rain -UGH-I hope we don't lose power.
