Snow Day

Ok, another snow day, who else is home today. I think I will stay in my pajamas and get some organizing done, start my spring cleaning then by Friday, we will have a load for Value Village.

We are snowed in here in Montreal, However this is our spring break. No outings today. The worst part is, there is another snow storm coming our way for Friday -Saturday. In all we will be receive up to 50 cm of snow.

Snow day here near Ottawa too. I am a teacher and usually go in on the snow days (teachers are expected to be there even though all our kids are bussed and busses are not running). Today though I took it as a sick day and am staying home. I leave for WDW tomorrow night so having the day at home today is nice.

Busses are cancelled here, but the schools are open. We live too close to the school, I took my kids. Plus I have to work at 11:30 today, so I had no choice. We are supposed to get another storm this weekend also. When is it ever gonna end???????????????

We have freezing rain.

It is not a good day in our house though. I am sick, stuck home with two kids who are driving me crazy and I have a ton of housework to do because we live for Disney on Friday.

And the house was not a little messy, it was DIRTY because I had spent the last week either getting ready for Disney or dealing with a sick dd.

A little off topic, but how do VV donations work? Do you have to make an appointment? Is there a list of stuff they take?

We have freezing rain.

stuck home with two kids who are driving me crazy and I have a ton of housework to do because we live for Disney on Friday.

I'll happily trade you your 2 kids driving you crazy for one angry 13yo that has to re-write an essay on the Rideau Canal that he decided to pass off the first time by doing copy and paste from a web site!!
His bus was cancelled but it's not a bad thing.... he has to get this essay done so he can hand it in tomorrow. Then he's not going to be happy with me again when I make him help me clean to get ready for us to leave for vacation tomorrow at 4pm!

Sigh... wondering if we can just skip the teenage years all together!

29 hrs and I'll be on vacation.... just 29 hrs left!!

Snow day here also. Dh said the roads are horrible as he had to work at 7:00 this morning. I have to go in at 3:00. I really hope they have atleast plowed a little by than or I will probably not be making it. (Last major storm I got stuck in the driveway leading into my workplace, thank goodness DH came out and took the van home with him and left me the car).

we had the busses cancelleed here too, my middle DD school is around the corner so I took her in but older one is here. Its still snowing quite a bit here, we had freezing rain earlier, so we have a layer of snow , a layer of ice, and another layer of snow on top! Its so heavy I souveled half the driveway and had to take a break! Im so sick of snow I cant stand it! heres to counting the days till spring, I so can not wait til April 29th we will be going to disney!!!

Everyone, be careful shoveling , my Hubby just hurt his back. The snow is very heavy. OH well, I guess I will paint the hallway alone today...

Schools in Kingston were closed b/c the freezing rain is so bad here. Queens U. though remains open so tonight I went to class! My school where I work was open- very, very dangerous getting to work- 2 transports collided on the 401! Haven't heard yet if the drivers were OK. I hate snow days!!!
