I know I need to call Disney to verify, but does anyone know the policy of people not being able to arrive due to cancelled flights due to snow?

I called yesterday in a PANIC!!!!!!!!!! They put a note on my reservation and said that they will try to work with us if we were going to be a day late, etc. However, I'm not sure what happens if we get moved out for many, many days. I'm thinking I'm going to buy travel insurance.

On a case by case basis (i.e. differs for each family's situation).

Before you plunk down hard-earned money on this, be sure you know whether the problem you are 'insuring' against will be covered.

Many, many travel insurance companies will NOT cover for problems as a result of a "known event" when you're buying it at this late date. The current weather issues are already out there, and trying to buy a policy to cover problems as a result of THIS storm may prove futile.

Its like trying to buy flood insurance while you watch the water rise. Can't do it.

Readv the policy. Do not trust the friendly sales person who gets a commission for selling. It does not matter what they say about the weather coverage.

Our flight in December was cancelled and we called Disney. They offered to take the missed night off of our bill. Overall, I can't think of any other company who are as accomodating--which is another reason they get most of our vacation business. :earsboy:

On the flip side, we flew in a day early last week to avoid the storm and they were very accommodating. We were able to book the extra night easily and did not have to switch rooms or anythingn like that.
