Snow and More Snow

Ok so I didn't believe the weather guy on TV....I figured we would get a little bit of snow, but as of right now (3:00 pm) I can not see my deck at all and it is still snowing.

Ddavis 860 is in your area and she said the same thing.. Her county could get between 12 -20 inches... before it's over....

I understand we are already past the 12 inch mark we are looking now at about 15 to 18 right now. We now have to figure out how to get the driveway done for work on Monday, but atleast we have little more then 24 hours before that.

DS21 just went out with a ruler and played the magicial... now you see the ruler...now you don't...up, gone, so my deck has 12+

Ouch!

My ILs just called. They have about 5" of the stuff. Only it is wet and heavy.
It brought down trees.

Their power went out last night and it is still off. Mimi (MIL) said it was about 50 degrees inside the house, with the gas fireplace on.

Not planning on heading out there until the power is on. She'll call when it is back.

This is crazy....22" that is a lot of snow. I know that talked about us getting a lot, but I never realized it would be this much. I have seen the snow, I have shoveled the deck now it is time for it to go away.

Man, we have a dusting...but that is it.... Rumor has it we could see some snow for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

So I work for the local school district and just got my call that there would not be school on Monday. Bummed (have 40 pages due for the yearbook on Wednesday), but at the same time glad that they made the call so early and didn't wait until Sunday night to tell us.

Our schools closed on Friday and we only had 2" But we're not used to it down here so it doesn't take much to bring everything to a stop. Its still very icy so I'm not going out to buy a paper till it melts a bit.

It's still coming down here. I'm horrible at eyeballing it and getting an idea of measurement, but I'd say we have close to 6 inches out there. Just turned the news on, so I don't know what the forecast is.

I'd love a snow day for tomorrow!

we have a ton out there. it started about midnight here. i've been up most of the night watching it. dh has been gone since 3am ish. i sent him off with food, drinks, snacks, water, money.......just in case he wants to go into m's and buy a surprise!
i have not heard from him yet.
and i too would so love a snow day tomorrow, but probably not.
