Snorkeling

Does anyone know if the snorkeling is very good in castaway Cay. Is it better to snorkel in Nassau? We would like to do a city tour in Nassau and save the snorkeling for the true beach day.

I, personally, LOVE the snorkeling at CC. Be sure to be there early in the day before the sand gets kicked up. The only snorkeling we have done at Nassau was the Blue Lagoon Stingray encounter.

snokeling at CC is best if done first thing in the am. once the water is chrunded up it tends to get harder to see. bring a waterproof camera or 2. there is lots of colorful fish out there. in nassua i would rather stay on the ship then deal with the people. almost as bad as beggers. but thats up to you. enjoy

I like snorkeling at CC, both in the snorkel area and at Serenity Bay. You see different sorts of creatures in the two areas.

I've heard complaints about CC snorkeling from REAL snorkel people--they feel that the course is too "Disneyesque," and contrived, but I love it.
